Kelly Blue Book is my go-to for used vehicle values. I entered you data and all available options. Excellent condition. Eastern Iowa zip code.
Private party sale: $29-$32K
Trade in: $27-$30K
Looks like you're solid with Carvana. .....my neighbor had to drive his Tesla S 120 miles to Carvana or pay $400 to have them pick it up. But this was in Iowa.

Yeah, now they charge for picking up your vehicle....
Would have had to pay the same $400, but drove it 90 miles to Richmond and saved it. Took the wife to Cheesecake Factory to celebrate.....

I had no idea they charged now, huh well that changes things a bit. I know them picking up the focus was all on them.

In 2021 we sold our Subi Crosstrek to them and they picked it up with a flatbed with no charge.
Don't know but I think now with paying more for fuel and higher labor wages, it costs them more to pick up.....now passed along to us...

Yeah they picked mine up and drove it in June 21. The guys told me the flatbed is broken down all the time LOL.
Good point. As usual it all goes down to the consumer and it’s an endless cycle lol

You can definitely beat Carvana’s price on selling private party, but like others have said, it may take some patience dealing with people. I purchased my Ranger new in 1/22. I attempted to trade in a 2011 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4 in good shape with 103k miles. The Ford dealer offered me $15,500 and would not budge. I believe Carvana’s offer was @ $18,800. I showed the Carvana price to the Ford dealer and they laughed and told me to sell it to them. I sold it on Offer Up after one weekend for $21k. I did have some tire kickers, but the 3rd or 4th person to look at it bought it.

I would have taken the Carvana offer seriously if I was selling a different vehicle. I know a lot of people on this forum hate Tacoma’s, but there is no denying their resale value. I knew my truck would sell for close to $21k, and if it didn’t, I had the Carvana offer to fall back on.

To this day, I still cannot believe that the Ford dealer held firm at $15,500 on it. I really thought it was just an initial low-ball offer and they would start coming up. If they had come close to $19k, I would have traded it in. In Arizona, that would have saved me @ $1,600 in sales tax savings on the Ranger purchase and would have net me close $20,500 for Tacoma.

@JimG_AZ I actually asked my Ford dealer to run the numbers for me on trading my 2022 Ranger XL in for Tacoma TRD Off-Road on their used car lot(a year or two old, crewcab long bed :brokenheart:). Tacoma had canopy & it was close to $40,000, offered me I think almost $27k for the Ranger(many Ford Performance upgrades, FX4, etc.).

In the end the APR was too high at the time & I liked my low payment of little over $300/mo. Still not opposed to 2022/23 Tacomas though. Last proven Toyota powertrain on those, I don't trust their current powertrain. At least not yet.

I have not been following the reliability or issues with the new models (Ranger/Colorado/Tacoma). I guess I'll have to read up on it and see what is going on. The way I look at it is that my Ranger only has 37k miles on it, has never left me stranded, does everything I need it to do, and is paid off. That checks a lot of boxes so I have had no desire to look at anything else. My only complaint with my Ranger is that I wish it had another inch of driver seat legroom.
