I have a 2019 Ranger Lariet. I used to do a lot of my own car maintenance, but 20 years ago. Plugs, brakes, oil, etc. Question: I want to change the plugs on my 2.3. Is there anything I need to watch out for? I've heard cylinder #4 could be a pain in the butt. Any response would be appreciated.

Since you've got a lariat, the Cylinder #4 issue shouldn't be as likely since you'll have the engine cover. I did the plugs on my '19 lariat last year, and had zero issues.

I changed my spark plugs and you heard right. #4 is a bear to get back the coil on properly the first time. You will feel a click when it goes down over the plug properly. As I am altitudinally challenged, I had to stand on a step stool and lay on the engine. After I missed putting it back properly the first time, I fired it up and got warning lights, codes, exhaust smoke and it ran with a miss. The codes told me that #4 was missing - no kidding! - and I got it right the second time. I didn't have any issues with water in the plug wells as I bought an engine cover the week I bought the truck.
