I am sure this has been on here before. But have a 21 XLT that bounces like crazy in the back when daily driving. What is the best shocks to replace the factory ones with for a smoother ride?

I cut my bump stops in half. And put bilsteins on. Still not perfect but better.

I put Eibach's on the rear an was very happy with them. Sill had the firm ride of a single main spring but the stronger shocks controlled the bouncing much better.

I have a 21 XLT 4x4 model and I had the Eibach's put on the rear as well and that did make some noticeable improvement in the ride. I tried putting a couple sand bags in the rear for weight, but I didn't like it (can't remember why LOL) so took them out and decided to try a rubber bed mat in the bed instead which probably weighs about 40 lbs., and that seemed just enough.

I did bilstien 5100 on the back. It got rid of the rear float, now it feels like the front floats a bit. But much better. The rears are pretty cheap and easy. The fronts will get expensive. I am happy,

Thanks for all the replies. I have went back and forth on the bilsteins and the ranchos. From what I've read so far the ranchos provide a softer ride but don't last very long. I'll look into the Eibachs too. Thanks again!

Same as others, replaced the rears with Eibach pro truck 2.0. Big difference. I bought them because at the time bilsteins were out of stock. Either would probably be about the same.

I only did the rears and can still feel the front bounce, but it's much better and I can live with it.

As others did Eibach Pro Truck all around, the ride is sooooooo much better. If you get the fronts, you set them from 0-3" of lift if desired.

A rubber bed mat weighs 40lbs? Dang! I guess it makes sense though.

They are all sorts of different shots you can put on to cure this problem. It said before you spend the money I would recommend taking time to consider what you're going to do with the truck. If you're going to keep it stuck I would get a set of Bilstein 4600s. If you're going to lift it I would consider saving the money until you get an actual lift kit.

I'm going to assume you have it leveled with spacers? If so remove those spacers and get the correct shocks and struts for the level you want. This will help out with all corners for the ride quality

It's leveled but no spacers. I've never run spacers so really didn't want to go that route. I am in the process of getting something besides the stock wheels.
