Owned a Ford truck since 1986. Always a F100 or 150. Bought a 2020 Ranger in 21. Currently building a 1983 F100 Flare side. Found this site while looking for others with the same issue that recently happened. Broke leaf spring. Apparently, it’s quite common. It was a link to a thread on this issue that brought me here. Gotta go find it. A few pics of my F100 and Ranger.

Look forward to more pictures of the F100 build.

I too am a Ford person, although I don't quite have the history you have yet. I can't bring myself to seriously consider anything else, as they all have their issues so its not like i'm being totally biased. I think Ford just makes a better looking rig, and I don't entirely hate wrenching on them... unlike my brief experience with modern Chevy stuff which was just stupid to work on... why is it necessary to remove the entire bumper on a Chevy Malibu to replace the freaking headlight bulb... i'll never get past that haha

Was gonna say the same thing. Every day I'm happier to have a scab. I had someone ride in the back for the first time ever over Christmas... unlucky for him, I had removed the seat cushions, but he's young, he can deal with it.

I’ve been a Ford guy since I was 8. My third grade class took a field-trip to tour Ford in 1968. We started at the Headquarters in Dearborn and then went to the steel mill at the Rouge Plant where Ford used to make their own steel. Seeing those white hot ingots get smashed into shape was something! Then we went to the Mustang assembly plant. A line worker tossed a Mustang emblem to a little blond girl in our class. Actually took the same school tour in 1973, but then we saw them making F-150s. My dad (a carpenter) owned 6 or 7 Fords. I’ve had 3, a 1988 Ranger that I finally sold after 36 years, a 2005 Mustang that will be 20 this summer, and my 2021 Ranger.
