Trim Clip Size Help

Hey all, can someone tell me what size trim clips I need for.the circled locations in the picture?

Will that size also fit wheel well trim as well?

I have a few missing or broken clips at various locations on my new to me 2019 XLT Ranger and would like to start replacing them. I purchased a set off Amazon that were 8mm (stating it fits ford) and they were way too big.

Radiator Upper Panel: Plastic Rivet - PN: W713610-S300

Fender Close Out Panel: It uses both styles
Plastic Rivet PN: W715694-S300 - (Phillips Screw Style)
Plastic Clip: PN: W705681-S300 - (Nylon Rivet Style)

Thank you so much! I wonder if we can use the rivet style everywhere the phillips type is used? I have yet to successfully get off a screw style. It keeps stripping and i just break it off.

Do yourself a favour and just get one of these…



Also, there’s a trick that works well with those Phillips type - insert a small flat head screwdriver under the inner edge of the plastic rivet while you back out the Phillips head. Then take the rivet removal tool to it and voila!

It doesn’t necessarily strip, it‘s just not catching the threads when it’s all the way down and when you pry on it, the threads are raised up and catch - at least, that’s how it’s worked for me.

But yeah, with a kit like this, just pop them out and you have a gazillion replacements. ?

I just use - Ford & Lincoln OEM Parts Store | Ford Parts Direct
and then dig into the diagrams for part numbers, I use them as they are local, no heavy dealer mark ups on prices and (pick up) parts - No Shipping.
Their prices match Benny's and no shipping charges.

Every diagram i see lists the complete strip and clips. No clips separately. The one at the leading edge of the hood and the one in the middle. Those are the only 2 that uses clips to attach.

If you zoom in on the - Weatherstrip - They come with the strip as you already noted:

So, since this is a - Bulb Seal Style - It is going to need this style of clip/retainer
You will have to possibly pull (one) off and attempt to match online pics, some offer measurements of the clip for a close match.

Example of what I believe they are using for this strip, just need correct size.

That's close to the one used on the middle strip but the front is definitely different. Problem is making sure they're the same size since they don't list them separately. I'll just go to the dealer and see if they have or know which ones they are.
