Reminds me of the days of jumping off the garage roof into a giant pile of leaves.
Or using an old picnic table as a ramp and jumping over people with our bikes. Evel Knieval had nothing on us. :like:

lol We had a cul de sac in the neighborhood and would set up a log and a piece of wood and use it as a ramp to jump people. After someone made it another would lay down to see how far we could jump.?‍♂ Luckily I was (somewhat) smart even back then and was never the last guy but I don't recall anyone getting hurt or at least hurt too bad. Man the dumb things we did back then yet we all seemed to survive!

Especially when we all played on these. o_O

Can you imagine the lawsuits now:question:

We took a friend's banana bike and doubled the front forks for a springer front end look. He did our jump ramp. The forks bent and the front wheel flew off (guess hose clamps and friction tape were not strong enough). Over the handle bars he went and broke his collar bone. We got his mom and her first words were "I hope you all learned a lesson" as he was laying there crying. Nobody got a trophy back then but he did get some time off from school :like:

Exactly what we did jumping people. Think the worst that happened was one guys arm got run over, nothing broken.
Don't forget the long metal slides on a hot day while wearing shorts.

We did the same but never tried a jump with it. Did some wheelies and luckily nothing fell off.

And helmets? No need, these were bicycles. Not motorcycles. I even have a scar on my forehead to prove helmets weren't needed. The result of learning how to not ride no-handed over uneven sidewalks.

Didn't jump any people, but my friend was big into BMX. We built a ramp, and when he could only jump 15'ish feet, I towed him on my moped....back when they were cool, I think.....and he managed to break the 30 foot barrier numerous times. Ah, the good ole days....

The dumbest (and most fun) thing I did as a kid was to make "pop can cannons" - taped 3 pop/beer cans together (cutting the top and bottom out of the top 2), punched a small hole on the bottom one, shoved a tennis ball in the top and then squirted some lighter fluid in the hole and held a match next to the hole - BOOM! They were a BLAST!

The good old days!
