Ford hasn't made their own glass in over a decade.

The OEM windshield is made by Carlex for Ford. Carlex also makes Carlight glass, the preferred aftermarket glass.

There is likely little to no difference in an "OEM" Ranger windshield and "aftermarket." Except for maybe the "Ranger" in the bottom, which is of little importance.

Here in AZ, glass rider to your insurance policy is money WELL spent. I highly recommend it.
That's the first thing my agent told me here when I first registered my Tacoma. I've always carried glass on my insurance back east but for some reason it seems people go through at least 1 windshield a year here. I also add full replacement value at time of loss to both my house and vehicles.

I know this is an old post but just getting my windsheild replaced by safelite at the moment and this is what they are using FUYAO and made in USA. I went through my insurance and just paying $500 for my deductible.
I got on occasionally off roading desert and mountains and never got a rock chip, but going to grocery over the weekend got a rock on the corner edge and immediately crack thru the middle after closing the door.

Safelite can provide OEM "RANGER" windshields. I've had at least 2 that I can remember them replacing.
For your future reference, if such a thing is important to you. ?

I asked if they can get an OEM but they said it will be awhile, they said that this brand is what Ford recommended them to use as well. Same spec as the OEM except no Ranger Logo.

No It does not have a Ranger Logo, safelite says that it will take awhile if we want OEM but this was $500 including calibration.
Dang, that is a good price. Was that with insurance or no?
