Windshield Replacement

I am having my windshield replaced and requested the oem windshield, I have the part number and tried to look and see if this had the ranger logo on it. Does anyone know if it does?

Cost me nothing.
Insurance paid it all.
Not even a deductible, but then again I carry glass coverage on my insurance policy.

There is a huge markup in glass. The question to ask is what did the insurance pay?

My replacement did have the ranger logo at the bottom but it was done through the insurance. Previously I priced it out on the own and it was 450 for just a replacement and the OEM one was at about $900.

Ya these windshields aren’t cheap. The other issue is mounting the camera if you got one and getting it calibrated. Dealer has to do that from what I heard. I got glass coverage on my vehicles for as far back as I can remember. The cost of these things went ballistic.

Also these Rangers are new enough so aftermarket glass makers haven’t caught up yet. So most likely still only factory glass. They’re made in Tennessee

When I had a windsheild replaced in my beamer the insurance wanted me to get quotes, and I said I wanted the dealer to do it. They didn't blink. I sorta thought they would fight me, but they didn't.

The guy from Safelite calibrated my truck/windshield after he was done with the install. No extra charges for that either.

The windshield without auto wipers is $323.43 and $605.78 with auto wipers. This is not including shipping (add another $150+/-) or install of course.

I just had the unpleasant experience of trying to replace my rear glass. $950 for the assembly as you can’t just get the glass it comes with the slider rails and center window installed. And it’s back ordered for at least a month. Will be adding glass to my insurance !

Here in AZ, glass rider to your insurance policy is money WELL spent. I highly recommend it.
