Cargo lights not turning off

Any idea why the cargo lights on a 2023 Ranger might not be turning off? Tail gate and all doors closed, vehicle locked. Hit the button numerous times but that didn't change the state of the light either. Hoping the BMS will cut power to them eventually. Tempted to disconnect the battery and see if that resets stuff.

Have you pressed the cargo light switch near the headlight switch?

Yep, numerous times and the state of the light didn't change. The BMS did eventually turn it off, but it was annoying the hell out of me. Currently at a campground for the weekend and would hate to have that happen at night when we are chilling around the campfire.

If the Cargo Light switch is (OFF)
Do you have the Mirror Puddle Lights? on your Ranger
If yes, are they also staying (ON), they are on the same circuit for (Exit/Entry) lights

Check to see if there's a squid jammed in the launch mechanism? ?

I believe that your cargo lamps are functioning as designed. They turn off after a delay.

From the owner's manual:
CARGO LAMPS

Press the button on the lighting
control to switch on the lamps.
Note: The lamps turn off when you reach
3 mph (5 km/h).
Note: The cargo lamps gradually turn off
after a period of time.

I've heard that using the Forscan program that a "dark car feature" can be enabled.
