I had to think about that a minute, it actually is possible. The truck doesn't roll over until it is actually past .9, but the app rounds up at .5? So that means it should at least read the same from 0.0 to 0.4. Seems like I have never noticed it being the same.Maybe because we can’t see the fraction decimal of the mile like we could in older vehicles xxxxxx.x
When the robots in the truck that control odo picks up the half mile maybe it rounds up on the app?
Thanks I forgot this could be done without FORScan, thanks! You can adjust it from the link below. I use the Fuelly app and also severe OCD and this will get you pretty much dead on most of the time. It takes several tank fulls to re-adjust and there are a few times it'll be a couple tenths off. When I first got both my Rangers they were 2-3 mpg off and I just could live with that!

He's talking about the OD mileage and the app mileage. That’s fuel/DTE.
I believe that the OP is looking at trip mileage vs Odo.
Why is the mileage displayed in the app always 1 mile different from the odometer in the Ranger? It's not a big deal, but bugs me.
There are lots of possibilities with software. Just because a mechanical odometer tracked to the 10th of a mile, doesn't mean the software does. It is a simple thing to drop the tenths in any numeric value calculation or display.I had to think about that a minute, it actually is possible. The truck doesn't roll over until it is actually past .9, but the app rounds up at .5? So that means it should at least read the same from 0.0 to 0.4. I sure hope fordpass is not reading our mileage in real time. Though, that would explain why our batteries keep going dead. Then we would have something to worry about. ?If Ford pass is consistently 1 mile ahead there is more going on.
My 2005 Ranger is a "Hard Drive on wheels", my 2020 Ranger is a "Smart Cell Phone on Wheels", Until I neutered it... Now it is also a "Hard Drive on wheels".I sure hope fordpass is not reading our mileage in real time. Though, that would explain why our batteries keep going dead. Get rid of Ford PassWhy is the mileage displayed in the app always 1 mile different from the odometer in the Ranger? It's not a big deal, but bugs me.
