Like I said sadly we're divided now.

Let's not turn this into a battle on who's right and who's wrong but remember what happened and WHY it happened. Also remember those who gave their lives that day and are still battling with the aftermath today.
The public doesn't know what happened and why it happened. We have been deceived and betrayed.

The ramifications of the event were and are terrible... to this day.

Precious Freedoms lost.

May God forgive those who planned and executed the attack. Unbridled Evil has been set loose upon the world as a result. ~3800 Americans at the time of the event, and countless millions overseas in the last 23 years.

I pray for them all. The executioners, and those innocents who lost theirs lives, and the affected families and friends.

"If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

I was almost nine (I was born in September) when that happened. As my Dad likes to put it, it was our Pearl Harbor and I remember watching it on TV very well. Being older now and a little bit more knowledgable on history, I disagree with him: the Japanese went after a military target and the cowards that hi jacked the planes went after mostly civilian targets. The cowards did not deserve the quick deaths they got.

Not sure I agree with you as I am first person of my family to be born in the USA. Mother was German and Father was Canadian. Mother came thru Ellis Island around 1915. Back in the day, the immigration policy was generally orderly and controlled. Except for the Native Americans, all of us immigrated here, just most before me. :)
Excellent point. Ellis Island operated from 1892 to 1954. In this 62 year period, nearly 12 million immigrants entered the US. Compare to what will be nearly double that in less than 4 years.

My late first wife was born on September 11th so her birthdays after 2001 were always unforgettable in a bad way. On 9/11 she was nursing severe injuries suffered in an accident the previous day, and when we got her onto the couch and turned on the TV we saw the South Tower get hit. I worked on an Air Force Base and I had left my badge in my locker so I couldn't go to work until someone from the previous shift brought it out to me. Everything was different that day and it still is.

One of the worst attacks on our soil happened. Let's not forget all these who died that day and while some were running away, there were many running in to help. Sadly it seems many forgot how united we were after this and today we're so divided. Never Forget! :flag:

Islamo-fascists, whether from Saudi Arabia, like those who murdered thousands of innocents at the twin towers, and hamas murderer / corpse rapers of Israelis, will not stop their efforts to purge the world of "evil" democracy. In their eyes, only the Ayatollah of the day can be relied on to dictate human behavior. Jamas jihadist build their command posts under nurseries and schools in Gaza, use babies as shields and their deaths as propaganda generators.

The government is now flying them in for free. Take a look at flights to/from S America to a Texas military base. Flights from that base then disperse them via outgoing flight to cities everywhere in the USA. They have been running nonstop for almost a year now.

Amazing (and troubling) what you find with a little bit of research.

My parents immigrated from the Netherlands in 1957 - they were put on a waiting list in 1954 - they both had to speak English and one of them (my dad) had to have a job waiting for them when they arrived. The job in New York fell thru, but the priest who was their sponsor found my dad a job in Miami. They become naturalized citizens in 1963. They never looked back. God Bless America!!!

They don't even bother to learn English anymore. Educators have to speak their language, we have to put their language all over package labels, signs. etc. etc. It is totally out of hand.

My wife's grandfather was German Jeweler - small businessman. When things starting turning south in Germany after WWI, they held on and suffered greatly. The poverty was unbelievable but they stayed, then by the early 1930's it got worse and they finally decided to immigrant to the USA.

No one could get a visa quickly so he took a ship to South America, and worked his way up from Argentina to Brazil. To keep the family in Germany from starving, he started Boxing professionally. 3 years went by before he could enter the USA. Came in through Ellis Island still speaking German with a smattering of Spanish and Portuguese. Went to work as an electrician in the subways. 3 years later he sent for his his family. They arrived in 1937.

They spoke German at home, but took classes to learn English. He lost everything he had in Germany, and continued to work in the NY subways the rest of his life.

My father-in-law can speak German fluently, and one of his hobbies is collecting and repairing pocket watches from the late 1790's to the early 1920's. He's an engineer by trade. He also has a 250+ collection of outboard motors from 1895 to the mid 1950's. He stays below 30hp. He casts his own parts and machines them himself.

He builds his own target rifles from stock metals including the barrels. He makes his own wood stocks as well. He is now in his mid 80's and still making his own piston rings and other parts for his engines. Forgot to mention he makes model aircraft engines from scratch from 0.049 to rather large ones. They run well. He has many behind a glass showcase. He has as many homemade clocks on his walls as the Doc had in Back to the Future. It is impossible to find a quiet "non ticking" spot in the house.

A very talented man.

My wife is German through and through. She is not afraid of hard work, raised on a 250 acre farm they bought just to raise their 3 girls on. Had cattle, horses, chickens, etc, Grew their own food, as well as hay, which the girls harvested it, bailed, and stacked in hay loft of the barn each year.
Both parents worked full time jobs, then came home and worked the farm.

Their can goods are outstanding as are the fresh veggies.

We are heading up to bring back the fall harvest for freeze drying. They have lots of Amish neighbors which we will also be visiting for their fruits and veggies. The pickup truck bed will be full, and our freeze dryer will be running non-stop through late fall / early winter.

I am not against legal immigration. But crossing the border illegally and expecting handouts is crossing a BIG RED line.

I'll always remember this. I was in the middle of out processing from the Army when this happened. I was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX (or whatever its called now ?) and after my initial shock and anger, I thought "great, they're not gonna let me out now". But, my ETS proceeded as normal, aside from a 2 week delay due to lost paperwork.
It was a few days after and my oldest son fresh out of high school joined 101st 327th, first in support with the 4th ID, he did 3 tours, then 2 with the U.N then switched up to the 202 EOD out of Ga. went Tech 1, instructor, when he got out he went UXO subcontractor....
