Took little longer than I thought , here we go.
Just purchased a 2023 supercab fx4 (for the locker).
This truck will be my DD and work truck. I am a Ranger Manager so I drive a lot of Forest and HWY.
I have spent some time Australia and always loved the UTE's. I set up and older Tacoma little while back like a ute. This Ranger will built in that same style.

Here is the plan for the truck.

OME suspension heavy upfront and medium rears.
Arb bumper
10k winch
Custom flatbed
onboard air compressor
I love the classic look of steelies, so I am going to order the ford 16" silver steelies.
265/75/16 or 285/75/16 not sure which yet.
I am leaning towards the 265/75/16 just for better road manners. There are a few tires that are a true 32" in that size which I think would be a good fit for the truck.

Nice! You could probably mod the heck out of your truck and write it off as business related necessities...

Great looking truck! I'm hanging onto my SCab as long as I can, they're a rarity. Not many people want them, but those that do, want them badly.
I'm no expert on the topic but with all that added weight you're going to add, the road manners your looking for out of any particular tire size might not work. I can feel an ever so slight difference in road manners between having an empty and full tank of gas lol.

Hooray on the Scab and appreciation of steelies! And extra kudos on being a Ranger (I'm a former geologist).

As to steelies, I swear I had found a difference between the road rims versus spare rim. In that the spare was like a pound and a half lighter. But I can't find my source on that - there are two different part numbers, in some places, for them in that regard.

Someone here may know if Bronco steelies would fit and what those specs are.

Sounds like a fun build! Good luck! =)

I was looking at the bronze steelies, but they don't come in silver only black. I really like the silver steelies.
That's interesting about the spare vs non spare weight. I wonder why?

a full tank and two people in the back seat will keep you on the road LOL
Dirt adds a few pounds too so I got that going for me too :)
I have 285/75/17 and dont mind their road manners at all and I drive, haul and tow a lot!

I imagine it's for MPG as to why the spare is lighter.

Used 16" for $60 each (would likely need to repaint)

!7" from Amazon for $99 each (black and you mentioned taller tires)

Here's confusing info about the spare versus daily rim.

This is maybe a spare but it shows two different rims?!? Does say it's a spare. 20.4 pounds

This one is 28.75 pounds:
