What tint percent is the 2020 xlt ranger ?

Look on the window . it will say. Mine says min transparency 18%

My Ranger came stock with 30%....State of Missouri legal limit for front side windows is 35% ....I do trips to Cali twice a year, no tint is legal...I did my '21 Ranger with Llumar Ceramic 35% , that way I'm legal most of the time...?....

I added 30% to my door, quarter, and rear windows, only because the A/C is kinda weak. PA is picky about the front door windows being too dark but I can get away with 30%.

I believe mine is 20%. I know its darker than 35%.
When I tinted, I just told them to match the rears....
I have a sedan that I recently but ceramic tint on. Let me tell you... it looks sharper and blocks more heat. If you can afford the premium, go for ceramic. You wont regret it.

That's what I did, and had the fronts match the rears as close as I could. I think somewhere in the neighborhood of 35%. Ceramic all around and on windshield too.

It’s in the corner of the window. Back window was in the center, if you have a slider

Virginia law states minimum light transmission of 35% for the rear window and rear side windows and 50% for the front side windows. Not sure what the Ranger came off the assembly line with, but adding tint would decrease % light transmission.

1. No sun-shading or tinting films may be applied or affixed to the rear side windows or rear window or windows of any motor vehicle operated on the highways of the Commonwealth that reduce the total light transmittance of such window to less than 35 percent;

2. No sun-shading or tinting films may be applied or affixed to the front side windows of any motor vehicle operated on the highways of the Commonwealth that reduce total light transmittance of such window to less than 50 percent.;

Front windows are 70%, which is pretty common for any non tinted factory window, except the windshield.

That makes sense. So in Va. I could legally add tint to achieve 50%.

Would they stop you with an out of state plate? I lived in San Diego for about 2 years in the 90's while in the Navy. I kept my ranger insured in Fla an had the side windows tinted 35% an no one ever said anything.

Technically, the law regarding vehicle equipment applies to the state you are registered in. Not to say some officers might try to issue you a citation anyway. That would be one I would fight for sure. Explain I was following the laws in my home state.

When I saw the prices of stuff there I kept my license, license plates and insurance in Fla the whole time I lived there. I owned a house there an lived on base in Ca so it worked out
