My brother would paint that thing if it was plastic. Wondering if that'd deteriorate...not sure it'd hold up under the heat.

...got me thinking about what color I could add to the engine comparment! I could see painting the oval outline and Ford letters.
Some have painted. Would need to be a flexible paint. One member used a silver paint stick to fill in Ford logo. Likely my route along with ecoboost letter filled in. Saber color would be nice, but likely silver.

Took the Ranger in to get hitch installed as it finally arrived. My local dealer had an interesting Mustang on the outside display.
A Ford Gulf Mustang.
One of the better looking Mustangs.
The carbon fiber pieces are well made. Learned it was my dealers own limited run of cars.

Installed the Bakflip cargo cover this weekend.
Solid and lockable.
Makes sure you read more than directions.
Read all three. I think only three.
They do not reference each other.
There is the main one.
One for the back rail.
One for the shims you install before side rails.
Only thing I did not like was the shims are metal in all 4 corners.
The middle two clamps use a rubber shim. Looked metal in picture but I only had rubber for this area. The middle needs more shim and either metal or plastic but needs some tape to hold in place. A more solid shim would maintain a better angle for the clamps.
But looks and works well. 98% water resistant. What might get in during heavy rain or power washing can run out bed drain.

That cover looks good, seems to be even lower profile than the Undercover ones.

Fits pretty flush.
Tailgate edge looks bigger and it is because of seal but not much bigger.
Also from behind looks like corners have bigger cap but this is due to raise tailgate edge in middle. A nice flush unit.

That’s quite a shine your truck has too. What are you using on it?

Correction to below.
Picture was after bed cover install yesterday. Car washed 2 weeks prior.
I washed truck today. No pics however.
So shine is still from two weeks prior!

Thanks.
Just finished washing.
I follow Obsessed Garage and have picked up a few good products.
Matt looks for very good stuff and then offers it on his web site. He can be arrogant but it’s just him. I like his videos and pod casts. Easy to listen to while I run my dogs.

I used Chemical Guys Snow Foam to wash. Honey Dew Scent. In gun and bucket. Then you can either use Bead Maker as a drying agent or dry first and then come back and apply Bead Maker. I do both. I purchased a gallon and mix 50/50 with distilled water. Spray cloth some, then panel and wipe. Have dry cloth in the other. Very forgiving. Helps remove any water spots, dirt specs etc. Use everywhere including glass and plastic, rubber. I used on new cover also. Slick after applying but after a couple hours gets even better.
Washed truck 2 weeks ago and still beaded water well. Was much easier to wash this time also. Second time using Bead Maker on truck. Used on door jams also to wipe down after wash.

For me it lasts longer than wax.

Try some. Matt sells in smaller bottle and gallon. Might also sell in 5 gallons. He has some items in larger sizes.

Thanks for the info. I’ve been using the Chemical Guys foam and it works great. I have some Meguiar’s Ceramic spray that I’m going to try but if I’m not happy with it then I’ll definitely look into that stuff!

Get a small bottle and try it.
I think you will like. Don’t miss out.
Very forgiving. We are still in hot 95 deg days so it is hard to dry vehicle fast enough. With Bead Maker it really helps. I love it. A fast spreading product in detail market. Think my trial 16oz bottle came from Amazon.

I just saw that it’s in Canada too so I may have to add it to my next Amazon order!

Installed LED fog light bulbs.
I have been using LASFIT bulbs on this truck. Been happy with all so far. Nice white light. I really like the fog light bulbs. Much brighter and good color. Hope I am not blinding others. So far no one has flashed me.
Wished the Lasfit logo on end knee up even but no natter how you rotate the locking ring it will not be even with LED'S in right location. Thought I could remove if printed but are etched.

On sale.

First few pics, new bulb on driver side only.

Little snow and ice, but not enough for 4x4!

Took long enough for someone to come out with tailgate shock system but DeeZee finally did. Also has a Ford part number. Install was easy with good directions. See T50 and 6mm socket. I used extra loctite but the new bolts come with it on. Works well.

So much for Panda Motorworks. Sale lost.
