What model of camera (s) do you have?
The 622GW and it works well. But I think most similar resolution models are all about the same quality.

The shortcoming on this one is the parking mode, it takes too long to come on after a hit, about 5-6 seconds.

Would you buy it again? I like Viofo A229 Pro dual channel, but it is double the price & then some!

When I bought both sets, they were $499 each, definately the top of my range.

I'd look around for the latest tech but not the "smart" ones, I don't need AI, just something to record.

I did appreciate that mine came with a polarizing filter and the ability to have image stabilization.

Viofo is an awesome brand and, imo, dual channel is a must. The only thing I'd check if going with it, is how it handles parking/sentry mode. Some YouTuber did a test with bouncing a basketball on a parked car's windshield to see how long it takes to start recording.

I'd also consider the battery/capacitor for time it can record. My Nextbase has a ridiculously small battery.

I think anything over $300 is going to be great (massive generalization on my part). BUT a $100 dashcam is worth a zillion if it records an accident.

Look at AZScorpion's situation, he had a top level dashcam but the heat where he lives killed it when he needed it most.

So, if I bought again, I'd probably spend less but shoot for mainstream resolution, dual channel, and better parking mode. You can find all that in the $300 range (including the rear cam and wiring).

Good luck!

I haven't bought one yet but I really need to get one. I basically threw away $400 on my last one when it died 2 months after the warranty ended. There's a couple different ones out now with higher heat ratings so I'm going to look into those soon. Maybe Santa will deliver one for Christmas.??

Changed my cabin air filter.
I was suspicious of the dealer giving it a "green" on the inspection report you get with an oil change, as I knew they hadn't dumped the glove box to check it. So I checked it and bought a Wix replacement.

I got lucky and a few months back claimed the K&N cabin filter that MY23RANGER was giving away. It was brand new, and although I don't like them for the engine, the cabin filter is a big "great". I clean it out now every oil change....don't even have to oil it, just rinse and re-use, and saves 20 bucks every time.

So the one on the right was the one he checked off as "green" and you replaced it with the one on the left ?
Looks like they come "pre-dirty" for install !!!:giggle:

No, it's still "forwards"....
Remember, their upside down...their backwards is our forwards !!! Ugggghhh, unless their already facing forwards, than I guess it could be backwards.....:headbang:

See Dave....this is what we have missed for ever so long....
Your valued input and the ability to view a situation from all points of view....backwards, forward, up, down, and all around !!! Not to mention the in and out as pertaining to the damper !!!
While you were gone, we became like a sliver of wood on a raging sea of uncertainty, lacking your knowledge, guidance, and wisdom.
But you have returned, and the stormy seas have abated, and become calm again...
Glad your back with us "normal folk" !!!
