Install instructions say 30-60 minutes total. I have watched the install video which does not include bulkhead rail installation. I don't have a bed liner to hinder install.
I now have 2 hours alone into trying to figure out ONLY the bulkhead rail. What am I doing wrong? This does not look correct to me. I have been having a heck of a time trying to get the bolts from the backside of the bed thru to the other side and hold the rail. When I do the bolts and long sleeve connection seems way to long to be of any benefit. What am I doing wrong and are the bolts and sleeves positioned correctly? How high is the rail suppose to be?
See pics. Thanks!

I can't exactly remember but I know the bulkead rail should sit on there with the foam strip and then I think its almost flush with the black rails. I honestly can't remember the screws but I remember it was a pain to align them. I'll try to get some pictures later for you.

That looks very similar to the Undercover Ultra Flex I just installed last week. Could you post a better picture of the hardware you are trying to install so I can see if it mounts the same as mine?

The smaller washer has to go between the rail and the bed of the truck behind the lip on the well nut. (the threaded part (well nut) needs to be turned 180') As you hold the well nut from behind it will compress and pull tight to the bed. Look at the right hand drawing in step 4. It had me scratching my head too... very counter intuitive!

Thanks! Finally figured it out and installed now. Only makes sense as it comes together. Only issue is while it locks and snaps into place just fine it rides a little high above the tailgate. Since It clicks shut easily I guess that is the way it is suppose to be.

My Undercover tonneau sits the same way at the tailgate, a little high. The closer I look at yours the more similar it looks to mine.

I had those same bolts on my Extang cover to install the bulkhead rail. Mine ended up breaking last week and I ended up going to home depot and getting big toggle anchors to hold it in. Those little rubber things don't do a dang thing.

makes you wonder why they did not just go with a bolt like that to begin with?

Mines totally missing the bulk head install instructions.

Where did you run your drainage pipes out? Not sure the best way to do that.

I did not run drainage tubes at all. Seems to be pretty dry under there and I am in Seattle..:^)

Its’s tough to see in the picture but there’s two oval holes at the front top corners of the bed. I used the bottom of the two for my Undercover tonneau drain. That should work for yours too as long as the tube isn’t any bigger.

I have the BAKFlip G2 and it looks almost exactly like yours and yes, a lot of cursing and dropping bulkhead nuts between cab. I just let my drains dangle. Was wondering if those holes drain to the ground. Didn't get a chance to check them. Was worried water would just pool inside and cause future rot issues. I'll stick them in the holes and see.

That’s my concern too...guess I could just run some water through!
