All,
BACKGROUND
- I am trying to achieve move of the "blacked out" look for the grill area of the Ranger. That said, I looking for a possible alternative to either painting, wrapping, or buying a new black lower valence, cost depending.
QUESTION
- Looking to see if anyone has gone the route of removing/stripping the paint off of the lower valence and left it bare?
LINE OF THINKING
- In a perfect world, underneath the paint, it should be flat black molded plastic similar to the other trim around it (based on the fact that one can order a black unpainted lower valence from the Ford dealerships and/or distributors). Also thinking the unpainted plastic MAY hide chips, nicks, scratches then the alternatives (but I defer to the subject matter experts on this). A search revealed that there are many posts regarding the lower valence, but nothing specifically regarding removing/stripping the paint that I was able to find.
Thanks in Advance,
