I previously noticed this week I have a leak coming from the driver side in the front. Does anyone have an idea where it’s leaking from. I just cleaned the undercarriage this week and the oil is back.

Looks like what happened with mine, for me the oil filter was installed incorrectly after an oil change and I also had a leak in the front crank case, was handled under warranty without any real incidents. It is fine to drive (if you have the same issue i did) just keep an eye on the level till you bring it in and they can take care of it. Only took 6 to 8 hours for them to fix it for mine.

Oh... Yeah that is not ideal, as far as the cost I got no idea, the had to take out a lot of the stuff from the front, radiators intercooler etc to get access and it did take about 8 hours as I said so it probably wont be super cheap, no idea as far as parts costs tho. Should be able to take it to a non dealer mechanic though (that you trust) and get a somewhat palatable deal

That’s what I’m going to do most likely as I feel like my dealership is taking advantage. I’ve already got the rear differential rebuilt, and a new transmission. Last time I took it in they said my motor mount was old. Like it’s always something. I appreciate the help

From the Pic's only - It appears the Front Crankshaft Seal is leaking
The seal can be replaced without removing the complete front cover, if replacing the front cover, it requires further tear down.

To do it right, it requires some special tooling.

Crankshaft Seal - Remove / Install Tool
Crankshaft Damper - Holding Tool
Cam & Crank - Alignment Tools, for when you pull the damper, keeps cam & crank in allignment

Shop Labor Guide:

Ft Seal - 4.2 Hrs
Ft Cover - 10.8 Hrs
