Curious, what beach is that on the Big Island? The clean shot was taken somewhere in the Puna district, I can tell from the flora...

Nice job! The beach scene is down in Ka Lae- South point. My clean shot is at my home in Volcano (upper Puna~3000 ft elevation). Have you spent much time on the Big Island?

Not quite as much as I like to...
I've family in Holualoa and Kurtistown, friends in Waikoloa Mauka, Kohala, Waimea, Honoka'a and Hawaiian Acres, I also own 3 acres in Orchidland.
The Big Island is, by far my favorite, would you believe the last time I was there was when the kinda large earthquake happened?

The 6.9 in 2018? That was an interesting year for me and a lot of my friends lost their property in the lava flow… but it’s to be expected when you live on a still growing volcano.
The Big Island is my favorite too- it’s so diverse. I was raised on Oahu… sometimes I miss it. Then I visit and realize why I live here! ??

It was the quake in 2006, I was driving on Kilauea Ave in Hilo headed for the Starbucks near Walmart that morning.

The car was doing the hula, the overhead traffic signals were swaying and people were all exiting their homes.

Mamalahoa on Haumakua side was closed because some bridges failed and I had to get back to Kona the next day. So I drove South Point way back, as I knew Saddle Road was going to be busy.

I know all too well what you are saying about Oahu...I envy you for living on the Big Island.

Dark Metallic Blue or Rapid Red would have been tough decision but I'm happy

Only problem with Rapid Red is that repairs cost more because of the tinted clear coat. When I had this fixed, they quoted me a price, which I accepted. After they started they called and said that the paint guy noticed the color and needed to charge more for the paint. I told them they should have noticed that with the VIN I gave them and they honored their original estimate, but it really does cost more to paint.

Oddly, I don't think the first shop (that gave me a higher estimate) caught it either since the materials part of the estimate was similar to the shop I went with.

The color gets compliments all the time though, so maybe it's worth it :)

Rapid looks so much better in person. It doesn't photograph that well.
MY 2021 XLT FX4....
Rapid Red Metalic Tinted Clearcoat , with the Black Appearance package. Possibly the rarest of all the Ranger color combos becuase of the upcharges... and years of availability....
