Yeah I've been pricing out canopies for a bit, the ARE and LEER are usually about the same for how I'd want them, but I think I'll go with the RSI once I can pull the trigger since it works out to the same price, and I personally like the look a lot better. Only reason I hesitate with the RSI however is that my dad has a Leer canopy on his '01 F350, and had a window break. Leer was still able to get him a replacement 20+ years later on a model they don't make anymore. I don't know enough about RSI, at least in the US market, to know how long they'll support their product.

Yeah, after that quote I immediately went to look at the RSI again...

I don't know of any of the truck cap manufacturers fabricating their own framed glass window and framed glass doors. There's only a couple window & door manufacturers who supply the camper/trailer/cap industry. When there is no longer sufficient call or demand for a particular size, it becomes no longer available.

For instance, in our Deluxe series aluminum caps which we manufacture, we use the same window supplier as the fiberglass cap manufacturer that we're a dealer for.

On face value the specialty toppers look over priced and Gucci. Until you actually price out one of the main stream toppers built out to similar capabilities.... It's not like we need to stack a full size truck on our mid-size truck cap, but it's nice to know you could if you went with you know who...?

I really like a caps ability to "secure" items in the bed and use them as shelter when camping.

I mean when um done adding bed drawers and my bed rack I'll have spent close to 3.5k on the bed...

Keep an eye on Clist.
There is a guy in MCO who sells them cheap - I'm looking for one, maybe. here is one for a supercab, better like blue. Modify for your needs. It's an option. Or paint it yourself.

All depends on what you are looking for and what your plans are. Unfortunately with today's market you will have to pay in order to play.

As for a tent upgrade why not look into a CrashPad Swag Tent? Very nice over all and have a good price for what you get vs a Roof Top Tent if that is your goal

Just did the math...1/6 of what I spent for the truck in February this year.
Ask yourself this,

Did you buy the truck to enjoy it in the way you want or did you buy it to resale?

If it's the latter then I can say you already messed up by getting on this forum. If not then spend the money to make it the way you want it.

Nice looking tents.
The Doubles that is about the size of a Queen setup can be special ordered too for roughly $650. Makes it nice when more than 1 adult is involved
