I like to watch a lot of the movie recap channels on YouTube. Generally much more enjoyable to me than watching most modern movies which are filled with filler and terrible technical details. Yes I can suspend my imagination for a make believe world with light sabers and space ships. However, basic things, that would have taken 30 seconds to understand and get right, generally ruin it all for me. Like a movie where the glock is hammer fired like a revolver for example (I am looking at you Ant Man...)

Anyhow, was watching the recap on the new Dungeons & Dragons movie and saw this. Had to back up video and pause to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

Let me set the scene. Two main characters are fighting to break free from captivity, the character in question has his hands tied. There is a stair case nearby so he proceeds to use the edge of a stair to start sawing his bindings off.

However... all one is left wondering is; "Are they even trying anymore?"

I have a specific career and life experiences, which affords me the ability to see bullshit in the movies too.
There's certain movies (or TV) I cant watch with other people because I will call out bullshit when i see it, no matter how much the other people believe what they are seeing is real.
They hate that I ruin the moment for them.
I just tell them I am fighting back on mis-information and that Hollywood should hire me as a consultant so I can stop the bullshit on the cutting room floor.
