What flares are those?
From EGRUSA on Amazon. They are basically relabeled RTR Flares without the front bumper cap. $300 for the set.

You all put the fear of God in me about 10mm wrenches! LOL, my old FJ40 also uses 10mm like mad (second to 12mm - which are everywhere!).

So in my SwingCase tool bag I have a 10mm socket, a 10mm box-end wrench, and a 10mm ratcheting box-end wrench.

But because I had one "dead" truck-in-the-parking-lot issue, I thought one in the center console (like many here do) would be a good idea. Maybe I should sick it in a giant "Hide-a-key" in case I can't unlock the truck!

The packages keep arriving for Money Pit 2. Got my smoked LED turn signals for the side mirrors. I also ordered the smoked marker lights which of course will arrive when we're gone and hopefully there's no porch pirates out.

Had one side work fine, and the other one (passenger) decided to be flaky. Finally got it working by swapping polarity a couple of times until it decided to work. Definitely check them out before putting the skull cap back on. Good luck! Really like mine.

Thanks for the tip! I watched a couple videos online and he said the same thing about checking them both before putting the cap back on. Looks like an easy instal, it's just getting over prying the skull cap off and not cracking anything.

No pressure.

You'll be fine...

Start at the outboard corner and slowly work along the bottom edge. It sounds worse than it is, and is better than you hope.

Thanks. The video did make it look easy as you just described.

It is a horrible noise that they make when prying them off. I was sure they were going to break.

A grease gun but can't find any grease fittings on the truck :frown:

Got about 100 fittings on the other equipment though.
