It seems to me...

The engineers who design the various parts which make up modern vehicles, and not runts! For the most part, they are the pick of the liter. After all, they have to answer to bean counters, the NHTSA, the EPA, and most of all, the world's stingy buying public.

You can chastise all you want, but lighting isn't just stuck hither and yon. They are first and foremost safety items. Ford even incorporates radar system (taillights) to alert drivers of nearby vehicles often hidden in blind spots. Apparently, aesthetes mean more to some folks than safety.

Headlights are another, often modified item. Like LED replacement bulbs, which are seldom NHTSA approved. I guess it is okay to blind oncoming drivers!

Oversizing tires are yet another example, with lack of concern about stopping distances, handling, and ride. Oh, but they look neat! I guess, too many are trying to turn their (Ranger) ride, into a much more expensive one, just for aesthetes.

Let me see if I get this right. Do you know how to read? Did you see my post mention I don’t want decals? Because I don’t want to interfere with my LED taillights? Do you and others like you just look around for things to argue about on forums?Do you think you look smart? Do you know what black accent rock guards mean? To go around a tail light and not interfere but just accent them? That was also mentioned in my post. If you don’t understand what I’m asking about then don’t post an irrelevant answer please.
You just have to ignore a lot of people that think their methods , taste and opinions are the only ones that matter. I've been shaking my head reading this whole thread . I posted a part for the wrong vehicle but I understood what you were asking for in the first post ,LOL. I think the thread title is what got them riled up .
You do you and just use common sense when it comes to the safety aspect of any mods.

Thank you for understanding what I’m asking. Civility is always nice. I try to understand what someone might be asking and if I’m not sure I don’t respond negatively. I appreciate your reply. But I’ll take your advice. I’m new here.

Comprehend what I read, huh?

Let’s break down your original post…

Black Out Tail Light Covers
- this title really says plenty

Has anyone come across any black out tail light covers? I’ve seen the black out decals and not looking for those.
- covers, got it…you want black out tail light covers, not decals

I want to accent my black appearance package with something on the tail lights
- accents, got it…something on the tail lights

without changing the 23 Lariat LEDs.
- vague - it’s not clear what you mean here
- without changing them out for aftermarket tail lights?
- without changing their effectiveness?

Even black rock guards might work for accent but I can’t find any of those for a 2023 Lariat either. Thanks.
- rock guards, got it…but you can’t find them

Now let’s break down your response to my post….

Lol! Did you really waste your time on that?
- my time to use as I please
- I can do this all day

Think it’s cool? Lol!
- I though it was a lighthearted warning
- five members thought it was funny, two others liked it

Why don’t you read the post better instead of being a smart a**.
- one cannot read “better” but thoughts can be better expressed
- I read it…a key part of it is vague
- name calling is uncalled for

You’ll look smarter that way.
- I hope you’re not suggesting I look less smart

I don’t want to interfere with my LEDs at all as the post says.
- your post does not say that
- your post is vague in this area…see break down above

Or I could just tint them or decal them which the post says I don’t want.
- that’s new…tint was not mentioned in your post
- yes, your post is clear about not wanting decals

Wow! Comprehend what you read before you post. Please!
- nothing wrong with my comprehension

If your post was a logical fallacy bingo card I might have won the jack pot. You started with an appeal to authority, then moved into a false equivalency / comparison, and ended with a hasty generalization.

We all are guilty of fallacies through out our life, but dropping so many in one instance is a special occasion.

Oh ok, I sit there and won’t defend my question after the civility was already taken away because you say so. Lol. Listen! If you can’t understand the post and answer the question don’t bother. If some throws a punch at you do you punch back? This seems like a forum full of idiots. The moderators certainly need to do a better job. I leave it now because too many of you don’t have the intelligence to have a meaningful discussion. Total idiots. Hey moderators. Get control will ya. Your forum sucks. By know.
