I added nice big Ford blue ovals to my "C" pillars, a small Ford oval to my dash, and black stainless Ranger letters to my tailgate!Has anyone used spray flex seal black to blank out there ford badges
Can Flex Seal be easily removed afterwards ? I have Plast-Dipped the fender vents, front and rear Ford emblems, and just finished my wheels about an hour ago. I'd use Plast-Dip instead of Flex Seal.Has anyone used spray flex seal black to blank out there ford badges
That looks great what did you use to paint that was it difficult I tried plasti dip and failed miserably on the tailgate ford logoThese are painted but I like the contrast with the black/magnetic theme. No chrome!
RussB - I highly recommend you checkout my DIY post for how I blacked out all my emblems, grills, bumper... It gets you a far better finish than flex seal as it was designed for this purpose and is also removable should you ever want to change color or go back to stock.Has anyone used spray flex seal black to blank out there ford badges
Hey Blue Oval, check out the post I dip regarding plasti-dipping and maybe give it another shot. Try it on some scrap metal or wood first to get down the technique and then follow my steps for coats and you should have no problem https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/thre...-emblems-bumpers-grill-gills.3111/#post-44333That looks great what did you use to paint that was it difficult I tried plasti dip and failed miserably on the tailgate ford logo

It's a black camera surround with satin automotive clear coat. On the emblem it's Ford magnetic color background and black letters, covered with a gloss 2K clear coat. The biggest job of the whole project is to mask the letters. That looks great what did you use to paint that was it difficult I tried plasti dip and failed miserably on the tailgate ford logo
These are exactly what I have been looking for for my Silver Ranger. Where did you get them?Shortly after I bought my truck, I went for the blackout badges...
I decided after a few months I wanted a bit more contrast. So this morning I’m in the garage, changing the badges out.. wife comes out.. “what are you doing?”
I said “changing out these badges”, she sees the new badges, says “well those look exactly the same as the old ones”
Lol, really??? Women...,
