A judge has ruled that GM and Ford are both liable for the unexplainable problems with their "joint effort" transmission and has ordered both companies to "Replace free of charge " !!!
Everybody gets a NEW TRANSMISSION!!!
10R80 Is being replaced by the new version " Apri1FooL1" ...

I will be all over that one! Engineering clearly dropped the ball.

I had an old 1960s Chevy truck like that and it was he'll on rainy days. Cut old carpets for floor mats but when they got wet they would sag and fall out on the road then the tire spray would fill the cab. Only thing holding the cab on the truck was the steering wheel.

Just give us a manual transmission in the US. The rest of the world gets one:question:
If it wasn't for arthritis and fibromyalgia along with bad knees and hips, I would rather have a manual transmission. I learned to drive with manual transmissions. My first car was a Dodge Omni with a 4 speed and I also drove my dad's F150 with three on the tree.

I hear you on the knee thing, 3 surgeries to the clutch knee so far, I've had to drive auto's at times.
1st stick, 72 Datsun pickup, 1st Ford, 57 F100 with granny 1st.

And no, don't bring back the 3 on the tree, they were a pain in the ass when they got worn out, you had to fish for gears wiggling the shifter until it fell in gear and sometimes it would be the wrong gear?

But searching for the gears was half the fun of three on the tree ?
