Not really, but all of this is so stupid I wouldn't be surprised if the truck did perform this no differently than the rest of the babysitting Ford and Government think they need to help us with. Big picture topics discussed elsewhere not my intent here.

I have read and generally understand at least most of the other solutions to the Auto Start and horn honks during Remote Start via FOB and/or engine running with cab exit. Here I ask question and seek experience/feedback for a specific product without explanation of why it bothers me or what I'm willing to spend to solve issues for my own reasons.

Do these 4DTech products work properly for their singular intents, and what negative effect will their use have on my lengthy Ford PremiumCARE warranty when the truck goes to the dealer for service?

Thanks in advance!

I've been running one for 40K miles, works great. No negative effect, and service techs won't know it's there, or care if you bring it in under warranty.

Inevitably, people will come into this thread and recommend Forscan to get rid of it, or plugging a night light into the rear socket, both solutions that I don't accept. So go for it.

How does a nightlight keep the horn from honking?

In my previous Ford with intelligent access I would just refrain from fully closing the door.

But ForScan is how I turned it off on my truck. Only because I was using it for other things.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Hmmm? $100 for a Auto Stop eliminator... or $2.99 for a night light...or, if you're not in the stone age and own a laptop, forscan for basically free, let me think.

I thought about ForScan for the horn honk, and for ASS. But both of them were easy enough to work around by shutting the door partially, and turning ASS off through the switch or tranny mode.

But when the time came to upgrade tires the choice was simple. ForScan is easily cheapest option to change tire diameter, even w/ a lifetime subscription and having to buy a cheap refurb windows laptop like I did. The horn honk, Bambi mode, ASS deletion, and other little things were just icing on the cake.

Looking at that company's website I trust my chances with the Russian software more than theirs.

I got the start-stop eliminator from 4D. Works great.......can reverse it back to stock at any time.
