You are right on how to calculate your weight. This is my truck. Dont stress it too much. This is with full tank and all my edc junk i. The truck. Just be smart on towing and loading. Remeber, you are part of the cargo weight. And whatever passengers you have, and gear and so on.Surprisingly the owners manual doesn't state what a 2wd SuperCab (or any other Ranger) weighs empty, it refers you to the B pillar stickers that came with the truck.
My "tire and loading information" sticker states "combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed 1893 lbs". The Federal sticker next to that states the GVWR is 6050 lbs although the front and rear GAWR exceeds that by 335 lbs, margin of safety I presume).
That leads me to believe that my truck weighs 6050 (GVWR) - 1893 (cargo/occupants max) = 4157 lbs. According to Cars.com my specific ranger weighs 4145 lbs (pretty close to the sticker calculation) and my on my Washington title that just arrived it states the Scale Weight is 4022 lbs..... Maybe part of the confusion is with an 18 gallon fuel capacity that weighs 6 lbs/gallon that is 108 lbs. Anyone have any insight on all this or ever weigh their truck?
