So few questions:
-Can someone who has a tremor do me a solid and measure their tremor bump stops height-wise? If possible also measure the distance from the top of there leaf springs to the bottom of the bump stops to give me another reference point? It would be greatly appreciated. I’d like to compare them to my stock 4x4 factory bump stops.

-It was brought to my attention that maybe raptor bump stops aren’t the best for the global leaf springs since the global leafs are not as thick as the Deavers (which use raptor bumps stop to accommodate the added leaf spring thickness). The global springs look very similar to the tremor springs, so would it be best to use tremor bump stops to keep factory travel the same? I worry about excessive travel with global springs and the very short raptor bump stops. The factory 4x4 bump stops may be the same as the tremor and if so we may be able to just keep our factory stops on When swapping springs over to the globals.

The Tremor bump stops looked the same as the regular stops without the plastic ring.

The Tremor springs are thicker but they raise the truck, so it's probably a wash, the globals should raise the truck to Tremor height.

I think what having shorter stops does is provide more suspension travel/compression. How much of that is a good thing I don't know?

None of the Ford stops touch the spring when unladen.

It should be the stop that limits the travel. You dont want the shock to take the pounding.

So you thinking the raptor bump stops should work? Or the stock stops?

It depends on shock travel, but you can leave the stock ones and if it looks like they are bottoming out hard, shorten the stop one section, if you shorten it two sections it is about the same height as a Raptor stop. The stop is easy to shorten, just reach under with one of those long razor blades (snap blade) they are foam and cut like butter.

The Raptor stop is a much harder material though, made for pounding.

Yeah I have the raptor bumps stop already. Just waiting for the global springs to get delivered. I’ll have to take some before and after measurements. Did you go with Raptor stops on yours?

I actually have custom shortened stops as I de-arched my springs 1.5"

You may need some pinon angle shims if you get a driveline vibration, if you can, measure the angles first.

Yeah I have a small start up shudder so I figured I’d do the springs and if the driveline vibration gets worse try to adjust the pinion angle or worse case go to the one piece driveshaft. Others had said vibrations went away with springs so guess it’s 50/50 on if the new springs adjust the pinion angle the right way. I’ll check angle before though so I have a reference point.

My launch vibration went away when I first installed the global spring's, but has since returned to normal. In other words it's back.

Damn, yeah I figure if it comes to it I’ll get a one piece drive shaft from Tom Woods. The startup shudder doesn’t bother me as much as the ride over less than perfect roads so I’m going to tackle the suspension first. Other than that truck has been great.

I understand. That little shudder at takeoff is not bad enough to make me spend $900 to get rid of. But the ride quality of the global springs was worth 3 times the price for the difference it made.

Start up shudder can sometimes be fixed with pinon shims, if you dont want to measure everything to see where the driveline angles are at (which you should do) just pop in a 2 degree shim (thick side forward) to drop the pinon.
It will instantly tell you if the angle was off, it may also give you a vibration at another speed.

Really, just buy a cheap digital angle meter, Google driveline angle info, do some reading, Tom Woods, Spicer and others have videos and driveline calculators, then you can know whats going on with your truck driveline.

Word of caution swapping out these stops. Factory bolts are locktited in. You have to heat them to break the locktite or you’re going to pop a blood vein in your forehead trying!

Yeah that’s what I’ve read. If they don’t break free I’ll add in some heat.
