No need for one KJ that's an easy answer....ALL of them!

What's worse? The fact that all of them are idiots? Or the fact that hundreds of millions of our countrymen willingly VOTE for these idiots?

Do you have a license for that? You should be careful of posting on an open forum, the stove police might be watching. On a more serious note that looks like a nice little hiking stove.

The only positive I can draw from such a proposal is that green energy folks are coming to a realization that fire creates smoke and smoke contains hazardous things. The next dot to connect is that the majority of the world cooks with some form of fire. Do you think they use electric to cook in Africa, India, china (90% of the world population). Restaurants business would be devastated to cook electric... Government cafeteria wouldn't be able to cook a burger... Scary as the stupid idea is, when they can't get a vege pizza ... They will change their mind
They want the US to go all electric, so those other counties don't have to. It's part of Al Gore's carbon offset plan.

I don't give al gore that much credit though he invented the internet. Need to stay off of political speculation so we keep moderators happy. It's definitely in the green scheme of things but as to why... Not here

Yeah everyone knows cow farts are causing global warming. Say hello to synthetic meat soon! Thanks Bill Gates. Of course he'll continue to enjoy prime steaks though.
And rightly so!

Here is the discussion I have frequently with people that support this kind of logic.

Me: Do you believe that America has an unusually large concentration of wealth and needs to do it's fair share by supporting other less fortunate developing nations?

Them: (Predictably) YES ABSOLUTELY!

Me: Good! Then you should be happy with the rising cost of health care, electricity, groceries, and fuel.

Them: What? How?!?

Me: You see that's how we bolster third world countries. We forego the cheaper option for health care and cover the cost of most of the Research and Development of new drugs and procedures in this country and then sell those advancements in health care to other countries at cost. So medical companies make no profit over the cost of the product in other countries. That means they have to make profit here in the US to afford to develop new drugs and advance health care. In doing so we are transferring our wealth to them via the proxy of health care companies.

Them: DAFUQ!?

Me: Same with coal and petroleum... We already generate less greenhouse gasses per unit of fossil fuel burned when compared to the developing nations because they have no EPA and are allowed to burn anything as dirty as they want. So we are making up for their air pollution with incredibly expensive smog fighting equipment and technologies that they are not required to use. In doing so we have set almost unattainable goals for us to offset the dirty air made by the other 80% of the world and that's how we transfer our wealth and privilege to them via a third party EPA and manufacturers of pollution fighting equipment. We make the world cleaner so dirty people can afford to live in it.
By about this point in the conversation their heads start to explode...

The day this story came out I was reading the story in the dark because the nearly 50 year old transformer across the street blew up. Also it was 25f outside. Fortunantly I have a gas fireplace for heat, a gas stove and 110volt outlet in my Ranger to grind coffee beans.

Are you certain the cause of the transformer blowing out wasn't it's age, but owing to one too many of your neighbors recharging their filthy EVs . And of course as we all learned from the grid failure in Texas might also be caused by renewable energy sources used somewhere in your utility.

This stove thing is spreading, in today's Denver Post an article about a lawmaker planning to introduce legislation to ban gas stoves in Denver. I do own some shares in a utility fund, have to look and sees if there are any funds devoted strictly to electric utilities as rates will skyrocket and they will be justified as a conservation measure.

We lost the transformer to our house about 4 years ago and the neighbors lost theirs last year. We heard a pop and then saw a nasty cloud of smoke then no power. We were told they just go. They are exposed to extreme elements here from 20 below wind chills to 110 deg with the sun baking down on them. Each house here has it's own transformer so an electric vehicle will not affect the neighbors but a total overload will affect the substation that feeds our road. We have had many outages because of aging equipment at the substation that drive us crazy with all the smart home devices we now use. Grid equipment will be the weak link in our area. If people start upgradingto 400 amp entrances that changes everything. Copper will probably wind up being the most important part for both grid and vehicles unless a better conductor is invented.

Better make sure you have a reciprocal CCW if you're planning on crossing state lines with that. :stop:?:bandit:
