Your governor is clearly an ignorant person.
Yeah everyone knows cow farts are causing global warming. Say hello to synthetic meat soon! Thanks Bill Gates. Of course he'll continue to enjoy prime steaks though.

People voting with their feet seem to be going to Texas, Florida an Tennessee. Other than 4 bad months of weather Ohio is fine with me. I might move after my grandkids get older but we'll see just so I can golf year round.

So today our governor Hochul said she is banning using gas to heat any new homes built in NY supposedly starting soon. So fireplaces are out also. Said it's the main cause of global warming. I need a bottle of whiskey to figure this all out. The grid in our area is stressed now. I need to move. All hail the queen.
WTH... this junk has to stop its past lunacy. i thought you were joking about this ban. i say dont move. vote that trash out of office and anyone affiliated with them. i dont wanna get political and ruin the thread. but politicians have taken things way too far. they have over stepped in so many ways in last few years. i will not comment on which direction too far they have taken it lol. im sorry you have to deal with stuff like this brother. sad and shameful in the usa of no less.

I've had pretty bad asthma since I was young. I've never noticed any difference when having an electric cooktop to a gas cooktop in any of my homes. Heck I'd bet that the formaldehyde in our carpets and furniture are way worse than the gas cooktops. What's next banning furniture!
nope govt already has those toxic chemicals regulated and controlled. the target now is getting rid of things that actually good for people

The only positive I can draw from such a proposal is that green energy folks are coming to a realization that fire creates smoke and smoke contains hazardous things. The next dot to connect is that the majority of the world cooks with some form of fire. Do you think they use electric to cook in Africa, India, china (90% of the world population). Restaurants business would be devastated to cook electric... Government cafeteria wouldn't be able to cook a burger... Scary as the stupid idea is, when they can't get a vege pizza ... They will change their mind

Where are some of you finding your info? The only thing I can find as their reasoning, is due to indoor pollution causing respiratory issues, like asthma in children. I see nothing about outdoor issues, or any climate change related reasoning. I personally think they should just put a warning on them and let the consumer make their own decisions. There are bigger fish to fry than this.
