Better make sure you have a reciprocal CCW if you're planning on crossing state lines with that. :stop:?:bandit:
Wouldn't that be a CSC (concealed stove carry) form 7345623 ?‍♂ ?

Well it sounds like NYC is now considering just shutting down natural gas lines to force residents into moving from gas. I can't imagine this turning out good because the electric infrastructure won't be able to handle the loads. 90% of the electric stoves are made in China and third world nations making this smell bad.

I was just reading a "news" article about this. Seems like several cities are moving in this direction.?

WOW, I didn't know about them shutting off gas. So, it's not just stoves, but water heaters and furnaces, too.

I can't see how they're going to do this. I know they don't think before their actions but this means making millions of people and businesses retro fit their homes, offices and restaurants to all electric. With all the upscale restaurants there I just can't see this being an option as most people especially chefs love to cook with gas over electric.

Never mind the grid not being able to handle this but has anyone told them there's constraints on like everything out there now? I can see phasing this in over a period of 10-20 years and hopefully that's their intent. But knowing them it's not as they always do things without thinking it through.

Seems like crazy talk like this is used to spread fear hoping it will scare homes and businesses to comply. It's definitely not going to work this time.

Well I'm worried now . Just got an email from Weber showing their new grills. THEY ARE ELECTRIC ! Glad I have my 5 charcoal kettles. Soon people cooking in electric frying pans will claim the title pitmasters ? .

It’s laughable that these politicians (paid off by special interest groups) are pushing to go electric anything. The vast majority of electricity comes by way of burning fossil fuels. Wind turbines aren’t efficient and take up a 100s of times the space of a conventional power plants. Same with solar. There’s a finite amount of land we have to use. They have to be subsidized by taxpayer money in order to compete with the other forms of energy (especially nuclear). Not to mention they make it damn near impossible to build much less operate a nuclear power plant anymore. They “regulate” them out of the market. If these political groups were truly worried about the environment or people’s health they would be updating the electric grid and going 100% nuclear energy. Zero emissions and its safety track record here in the United States is excellent. I can attest to how safe this generation of reactors are. I was ignorant until I actually started working on their systems. I’ve been in this industry for quite a few years and can honestly say it’s definitely the solution to so many “problems” (which by looking at who pays the funding for these awareness campaigns probably don’t actually exist-more fear mongering, seen it before). Nonetheless, if these problems exist, then this is the way forward.

As of now this is all done such ass-backwards is not even funny. Look at California make the push to electric vehicles and yet they have a power grid that can’t keep peoples homes heated in winter or the AC running in the summer. It’s all for show. They live right next to the ocean and yet every year are in a major drought. They’re regulating themselves out of using desalination plants. It’s mind boggling the decisions that these politicians are making at the expense of the people. Almost like politicians and the groups finding these campaigns stand to make billions of dollars.
Until we change how our electricity is generated, this push for electric is just an idiots pipe dream. Just follow what groups stand to make a substantial amount of money pushing this shit and it’ll start to make more sense.
There’s a right way to go about “green energy” but that’s not what this is about. It’s about money, power, and control over people and businesses to operate freely. Look at cap and trade, perfect example.
