That thing looks like it was conceived as a good looking truck but then got the umbilical cord wrapped around it's neck coming out.

I'd really like to know what has been going thru designers heads when it comes to front ends of trucks (not just Toyota).

I’ve never bought, or not bought a vehicle because of the way it looked. They are all just tools to me. For some though, they are a hobby.

I had taken a screen capture months back when I still had a subscription, but if I remember correctly, for midsized it went top Ridgeline, to Maverick, to Ranger.
Tacoma was quite a ways down.

saw a tundra in person yesterday. it looks like they took inspiration from the big three trucks and microwaved it. pretty damn goofy. i wouldnt drive it. im not anti toyota but folks need to get real. the current toyotas simply are not the ultra reliable cheap to fix toyotas that were made in japan decades ago. sure they ran for 300k. i still seem some on the road lol. but anything from the last 15 years or so is not them. those days are done.

FYI - link to brief Tundra review, a few comments on it's shortcoming but one review ending statement that sums up the Toyota buyer :

But that probably doesn’t matter too much to the typical Toyota buyer, who won’t even consider a Big Three truck. The 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro is much improved over last year’s model, with better comfort, more power, better economy, and arguably cooler looks. It’s not a Prius, but it is a Toyota - and that’s all that matters to a segment of shoppers.
