I know this sounds ridiculous but I went to the car wash this morning and they flipped my back seat up and it is locked in that position and I can’t get it back down. I’m pretty irate about it at the moment. Would appreciate any insight I can get.

Did you pull the cloth grab handle to release it?

Pull the release pull. It will come down.

Try pulling it at different angles, sometimes they get stuck

Fess up Jim, you installed a damper on your seat and now you can’t close it - this is Dave’s fault.

Mine gets stuck on occasion, I found slamming my fist in a few spots helps. That and/or aggressive jerking of the pull strap.

Agreeing with the weird pull up to get it to go down. Mine is like that. Pull straight out or down and it just mocka you and stays up.

I’ve pulled and yanked every which way and nothing. Might resort to dynamite next.

Update: Gave up and brought it to dealer. The release cable on 1 side was disconnected from the latch. Seat is down but now it’s not catching on the locking tab. They couldn’t figure that out but I said F it I’ve already wasted too much time on this.

That sucks. Did you at least make an appointment while you where there to get it checked out further?
