Meh, buy once cry once.

That being said, it's cheap compared to one I saw on here recently that is pretty much a mount for 3 diode dynamics ss2 lights... The bracket with a few led's as brake lights was several hundreds... If you wanted to fill in the holes with lights, they were ~120 each.... I priced it out and it was >700 USD for a basic setup.

Granted you could put different color lights and beam patterns.... But seriously, that's a little rich for my blood.

Oh that is par for the course.

Rhinoracks is one of the worst offenders.

Those are literally $4.99 x 2 U brackets from ACE Hardware with about $5 worth of thumb screws. But hey "muh gucci brackets bro" for $50

The off-road community is its own worse community when it comes to pricing schemes.

I am all about well engineered and designed components.

I bought some rotopax, and the mount for them. They work well, for me. But I'll be damned if I going to spend another 50 bucks to be able to mount the mount to my crossbars. I went to home depot, bought some flat aluminum stock, cut it to length, drilled it and painted it to match. And like magic, 15 bucks later I had a mount.

I use standard heavy duty steel 5mm thick L-bracket corner supports to mount my awning. Black powdercoated, 8 of them (which gave me spares for other projects) were I think $20 from Amazon.

But I could have got 2 "off-road" awning brackets for $35-45 (on the low end).

I get paying money for odd-shaped brackets where actual tooling cost are a thing to make them, but those are few and far between.

They are off their rocker, but then again off-road companies process so many credit card charges I can only imagine their yearly profit.

My attempt at morimoto side markers last winter failed after two weeks. $200 isn’t that much money at the end of the day, but I don’t know what justifies that price point. Blame it on inflation, seems to be working for everything else.
What happened to your side markers?

Nice luxury item. I wonder if the flashing brake light would affect the TBC, since it is tied into the CHMSL?

That's a nice setup. I'm trying to resist buying anything else for my Ranger right now but if she comes and installs it I might have to cave in. lol ?
She didn't even clean the area first before installing the new one ? lol.

Mine have been great so far in NC - sorry to hear yours failed!
Yeah it’s no biggie, I ended up getting my money back and went with DD led’s and wrapped the light with vinyl.

If money is burning a hole, I'd rather have this...at least there's machined metal and it holds antennas...
