Ford Pass update has killed it

Not sure why I would want Ford Pass? Not really seeing any benefit to it.

I love FordPass and FordPass Rewards. Had a large points balance to begin with. Just paid off my FordPass Visa so I'll have even more points. Free Dealer Service into perpetuity LMAO!!!

My Lariat already has that feature on the key fob. I sometimes use it on very cold mornings to warm up truck

Yeah, some of us like to start our vehicles early at places like work, where parking close is not an option. I guess someone that never needs that ability would not see that benefit. There are other things, which are just more conveniences, but you seem like someone that has no need for that. It's all good.

I haven't read through this thread, but my app still works like it always has. I can still read my tire pressure and remaining fuel from 40 miles away!

Now that actually makes sense, especially if you are fortunate to have a secure parking lot at work. I can see where that would be a big benefit on super cold days when leaving work. I never had remote start before getting my Lariat and now use it all the time on very cold mornings.

How about for scheduled starts?
I have mine set to start 5 minutes before I leave for work and from work. Truck is already cooled or warmed by the time I leave.

you acan't start your truck on a timer with the FOB.

cold mornings My truck starts at 7:05 am that gives me 5 minutes to get boots, coats and hats on 2 toddlers and out the door.

Funny story. My daughter was staying with us for a week from the west coast and then I got called out on a trip to Costa Rica for work. I have a private surveillance system at my home that has motion detection as well as cameras. I got a notification and looked to see who it was. My daughter was out in the driveway near my truck so I used Ford Pass to start it. Watching the vid feed she whips around when it starts and then starts walking around it like it’s possessed. I shut it down and waited. Then she’s standing there looking at it so I started it again! She runs into the house and texts me my truck is doing weird things. Well, I told her to go out and pat the hood and tell it dad will be home soon for you! I never did tell her I did that I was messing with her. Technology is great for us old folks?

I had a kid throwing rocks around a carpark I was parked in, while I was 50' or so from my Ranger, waiting for my son. A few rocks got a bit close to my truck, and his mother didn't seem to care. And of course, you can't do anything these days.

Waited until he was about 6" in front of the Rangers grille, then started it up, the cabin clearly empty.

Said kid walked away, backwards, very slowly. Then went and sat in his mothers car.

Would have loved to hear the conversation.
