driving home from a fishing trip yesterday and the check engine light came on, so I pulled over and checked the oil and rad fluid level. all was good. no leaks or drips in engine compartment or under the truck. when I restarted the engine it was smooth and quiet. according to the ford pass app it shows there is an EVAP EMISSIONS SYSTEM failure. I have under half of a tank of gas left and was wondering if I should fill up before going to dealership for check up. Im also due for an oil change. oil life is at 13%but with only 5000 klms on the full synth.oil. I was still 100 klms. to go so I drove it home with the engine light on. has anyone else had this happen to them??

That's one habit I had to break starting with my Titan not rounding up where it stops I leave it. Pardon my ignorance but do the global Rangers have gas caps or are they like the NA with a spring-loaded stopper?

I can virtually guarantee that the undercoating fouled your canister. It's a common problem.
And bcause it's undercoated warranty will not cover it. A few other threads about this.

you would think the problem would happen just after the undercoating not 10 months later.

Been awhile since I checked in. I got the flashing engine light today with the big shudder/missing intermittently this morning. Got back home with the light staying on now, and a miss shudder going up the hill. Soonest any dealer can get me in is the 22nd, holy moly, I still need to get to work! From what I've read in the other threads I may give it the Italian tune up to see if it clears out the CAC. I have been slow driving lately. The problem started this morning when I mashed the pedal to pass a painfully slow driver. Nothing showing up on my Ford Pass app, yet. May go to a local shop to at least see what code it throws out.

Is that anything like a Raytheon Reset?
