I am 39 years old. My first Ford was a 1973 Ford Pinto runabout, full back glass, orange shag carpet, two tone orange and white. I bought that car from a older couple for $300, put a set of points in it, and drove it for two years with no license or registration. I traded that car for some high end BMX parts. That's one of my big regrets in life is trading it away. I to learned to drive on a tractor, at 9 years old I was driving a manual Toyota truck around our property. I learned to drive a manual on a dirtbike I had. I have owned quite a few Fords since then. Now I'm in a 2021 Tremor. Absolutely love it.

like your Dad most people bought the notchback . Hated the 66 console so I swapped for a 69 console only real cahange I made . My uncle had same green metallic 65 notchback living in New Jersey where cars have a tough life.
Indeed, vehicles in snow country areas do have a brutal winter life.

I subscribe to a YouTube channel called "South Main Auto", it's about a mechanic who owns a repair shop in upstate NY. The channel focuses on repairs, some of them complex to cars and trucks. I cannot believe what the chemicals they use to salt the roads do to cars, some of them are ready for the scrapyard in just 5 years.

Check out his channel, he's an actual YouTube poster who actually knows what he's doing, he's got a great sense of humor too...

I'm 41.

My first Ford was a XE Falcon S-Pack. 4.1lt manual. Silver. Like below, but better wheels. Loved that POS.

I learned to drive on numerous cars, on farms and the way home from the beach. Can't do that today.

My Ranger is an Aus-Spec, 2021 XLT.
was that hood figurine factory? In europe these badges where sticked to the hood of the GRANADA.

Age 67. Learned to drive on my Dad's '65 Malibu SS 327. My first Ford was a 1970 Mach 1. Both cars are long gone, but my Dad is still kicking. Today is his 96th birthday.

Happy belated Birthday to your Dad!

Hard to believe that Chevelle's were once considered "intermediates"...

Hey everybody!
I’m 24 years old and I learned to drive on my Dad’s 2014 Tacoma in highschool. My first vehicle was a 1980 Chevy C30 and I’ve currently got a 2022 Lariat Tremor on order which will be my first Ford!

24.........Good Lord Chris, I have underwear older than you. :bandit: :giggle:

OK, I'll play. 68 for a while longer. First Ford was a '59 Galaxy 500. Learned to drive on my Dad's old '49 Ford Pick-Up with a flat head V8. That thing drank more oil than it did gas. :)

54 years old 1972 F250 Custom 4x4 with a granny box 4 speed. No power steering, no power brakes, lifted on bias ply 33" tires, full size side mirrors, no center rearview mirror (Because my dad always hauled stuff in the bed) I started diving it at 15 years old on the property then drove it to school and my mom to town in it.

Lol, I used to be a gas jocky @ a high volume filling station in '75.
I remember a good humored cab driver who would routinely come in and say "fill the crankcase and check the gas please".
His car was a vintage '61 or so Comet wagon, it was a 6, so probably a 170.
The engine's compression was so low that it took forever to fire up, when it did it let out huge plumbs of bluish-gray smoke out the tailpipe.
I distinctly remember the whole back end of the car covered in an oily soot as well...

I'm 36 or 37. Or 38? My first vehicle was a '77 Ford F-100 Custom. Thing was Sprite bottle green. My dad bought it when I was 12 from a widow at work, whose late husband took great care of it, and it stayed in a barn for over decade before she sold it. Over the next 3-4 years, I paid my dad back and the 2 of us got it back running and fixed up until I got my license.

Even though I kept that truck for several years after I upgraded after college, it was too much for me to keep up with. I still have seller's remorse. I sold my '07 Silverado 2500 Duramax that I bought new in 2007. Made the move to a '22 XLT. We'll see if I keep my ranger as long as I kept my other vehicles... I love it so far!
