The tall radio antenna got replaced with a Stubby. Then I disabled the fake engine rumble inside the cabin. Then FX4 rear shocks came off for some Foxes.

Hi Folks,

The first things I took off was the Dealer License Plate surround and the crappy lettering on the tailgate with their name.

I long ago at the advice of my friend and Indy Car driver, Howdy Holmes. No decal or sticker on your race car unless there is free $ or product. So no dealer advertisement for me...

Best,
Phil

Thanks to the R5G forum, the back license plate dealer bracket since it rubs the tailgate.

Same as everyone else. Took my dealership branded license plate frame and dealer sticker off. Pay me and I will keep them on even if it is hideous- maybe.
Here is a story I had with a dealership once about their desire for free branding.
when I was buying a new 1990 Honda Civic I specifically told the dealer I do not want them to put their dealer sticker (it was actually an emblem) on my new car. When I went to pick it up - there it was staring it’s ugly face on a otherwise beautiful backend of my Civic. The sales person, who thought I was a moron because I was young, said they were required by law to have to the dealership sticker on it. I asked him to show me the law. Of course he couldn’t. I told him I am going to take it off anyways so what ever they spent on these things was a stupid waste. I said that if they had car mats with their dealership logo on it and they wanted to throw them in for free I would be happy to advertise that. They didn’t have any of course. I couldn’t take anymore time to argue with them - I was buying this out of province and had to leave that morning. needless to say I would never buy a car from them again. Besides Honda doesn’t have a real truck to sell?.

Dealer sticker was gone within an hour. License plate frames lasted a day or two. FX4 decals didn't make it a week.
