Changed the oil for the first time. I know it's been brought up before, but WTF was the guy who installed the oil filter thinking? I almost gave up and said FK it, I can go another year on it, since I only have 1k miles. It took removing the 4th clip and running to the auto parts store for filter wrench that I finally won the battle.

I had no issues with mine. Never removed the tire, pulled the inside cover back halfway, and twisted the filter off with my hands.
The only hassle I came across was the silly oil drain trough from the filter drippings.

Damn all of you, I just ordered one now. ? I figured with our trip coming up in June I'll be driving a lot of highway miles and this will help protect the front hood and hopefully the windshield.

I did my second oil change recently and was able to remove the oil filter by hand, but the factory installed filter was much tighter, and I needed a 3-claw filter wrench to loosen it.

The off-set oil drip not being under the filter got me the first time, but I remember for this oil change. Ignorant design, they have a spout coming off the block, that drips onto other parts. The spoiunt should have a little lean to it, so the oil falls straight to the ground.

The plastic screw clips after 2 oil changes are already fkrd, I'm going to install some riv-nuts on my next oil change, and use machine screws moving forward.

Guess I graduated from the support group to the mod group?.
Had a spray in bed liner added, dash mat, bug deflector are on. Ordered some front seat covers, dog rear seat cover, parking brake leather replacement, front 1 inch spacers and a tonneau cover. Want to get a topper but wow $$.
Up to about 45 miles on it now, need to slow my roll..
oh and I put on the tailgate damper this morning.?

I protected my Ranger by doing absolutely nothing with it today. I needed to get some hog wire fence which comes in 16 ft X 4 ft panels. Instead of taking the 21 Ranger to the fencing and risk damaging the new truck, I took the old Ranger (99 w/ <100K mi) instead. A scratch or small dent won't piss me off nearly as much as the same thing would on the new Ranger (21 w/ ~650 mi).
