I have nothing to contribute as a possible cause/resolution, but I am so thankful for the members that make up this forum that take the time to help others out.

Hope you get your issue resolved soon Chris.

I would have to feel it to really see whats going on. To me it is almost starting to sound like the normal harmonic of the engine at low RPM under load wich is NORMAL for a 4 cylinder(what others on here consider lugging). But again without getting in the truck I could not tell you.
It's not the engine lugging and it's not normal.

My problem is that I would normally tear this thing apart myself, but am handcuffed by the warranty. I could probably solve this myself if I had to, but I bought a $45k vehicle with a warranty and I'm allowing them to fiddle with it just in case it is determined to be something costly.

The back story here is that this has done some form of this since new. It has had the drive shaft replaced already attempting to solve the problem. It's been aligned. It's been balanced multiple times. The rear diff has been spec'd. Tires been rotated with the spare.

cv sounds like a possibility and likely other items being worn by the vibration need replacing or adjustments by now. your truck is 4x4, maybe check out the forward end of the equation. front drive shaft, front diff and so on. Im not sure on the 5g but some 4wd setups, a lot of the front wheel drive parts are in motion even while 4wd is not engaged.
wheel bearings that are toast often come with the nice sound of crushing aluminum cans from the wheel. Id bet if the bearing was bad enough to vibrate that much you would already hear it or see signs of extra heat etc. my first thought with vibrations in any car or truck is tires, driveshaft first but sounds like you have already checked those off.

I may be dreaming, but wasn't there a post recently where they had vibration and it turned out there was a bad front differential?

I'd love to find details of this... and I say this because my truck has got this damn smell which appears to be coming from the front diff breather... feels like a long shot coincidence, but at this point, who the hell knows....

So.... now after multiple balances, they say the tires are bad.... and of course the warranty is questionable on them even though the issue has been there since i drove off the lot...ha! Guess we get to have a chat tomorrow about it. Ford Customer Service telling me I need to contact General for tire issues... more to come.

They need to put their NVH analyzer on the truck and get the frequency of the vibration as well as the order of the vibration if they can do such... Resolution by trial and error is time consuming and largely unsuccessful. You need data and the information contained in the data to start focusing on root cause.

I will say it did not leave the Assembly plant with this condition...it is something done after purchase. I also to not buy road force balance

I did not post this when I wrote it by mistake....

So "bad tires", eh? Did they use their NVH equipment and determine this. Flat spot would cause 1st order tire, Ovality or out of round would be 2nd order tire... Hopefully part of your dealer discussion...

Best,
Phil

Yep. I don't think they own one. I know you're from MI. Do you know of a good dealer that has a good vibration guy. I'm going somewhere else at this point. Is appreciate some recommendations as just telling them to use their NVH isn't getting any movement.

Not sure i agree that it is something that was done after it was purchased. I bought it new. I brought it back days after purchase due to the vibration. It has gone unresolved for a year and it is just much worse. Nothing that has been done to the truck since has made any difference, good or bad. Respectfully, am I missing something here as I don't understand the logic.

Hi Chris,

Village Ford in Dearborn used to get high marks, but I have been gone for over 17 years from the area. I might recommend you call the service writers at dealerships and ask if they have and can use NVH Analyzers that top dealers have and use...

Best,
Phil

Thanks Phil. Actually grew up right near Village Ford. Bought a few of my first new cars there. Dad just bought his maverick there...I'll get on the horn tomorrow and call around. Good suggestion.

I gave up going the NVH route when I found out no dealers had any access to any NVH analyzers from calling 5 different local ford dealers. Luckily the vibration was sorted out thru the learning phase after aoprox 4000 miles

My 2022 Tremor is at the dealer now for two weeks. I was told that the VIN of my vehicle matches a certain range of other VINS that needed to have the front CV axles replaced and was under a new bulletin that came out and parts would arrive in two days or so. The dealer is doing what they can. I provided them an NVH analysis from an app that I downloaded so hopefully that provided some guidance. My vibrations was being noticed mostly from 50+ mph. Also, the dealer let me test drive 2022 Ranger Lariat and used the NVH app in the process. What a night and day difference. The Lariat was nice and smooth. I’ll attach the results. The first picture is of my truck and the second is the Lariat.
