Some areas are much better off than others as far as their water supply. One of many reasons I chose Goodyear was they have a great layout for their water and a 100 year assured water supply. Some areas like Buckeye have water issues and are not laid out as well and I'm not sure why.

This is from our April monthly news letter. It was very reassuring seeing as there's so much growth here both residential, commercial and industrial. Most of the land is farm land and they say a residential housing tract uses much less water than the farmers do.

Goodyear is nice. Pretty much top of my list for the Valley when/if I move back. Peoria is my old stomping grounds. Graduated high school mid 80s...nothing but cotton fields and tumbleweeds from 67th ave all the way to Buckeye. Sure was wild watching the valley grow. I'll be ther next month, visiting family. Can't wait. I love the desert.

It's changed so much and they're building everywhere now. We had so much open land (farms) and just in the past 2-3 years there's houses and commercial buildings going up. There's 200-300 unit housing tracts going up and they're sold out almost as soon as they break ground. The stores and restaurants are packed, streets are bumper to bumper now it's terrible here.

Honestly I cant wait to get out of here! Nothing but rude people now and the traffic on the I-10 is beginning to mimic LA. Even the nicer communities like Estrella Mountain Ranch are crowded now. That use to be a nice little escape (Up the hill) from the rest of Goodyear but they've now built up all the open desert up there. All my customers who've lived there years ago hate it now as it's just as crowded as the rest of the valley. The problem now is finding a place that's not freezing cold and not overcrowded which will probably be impossible.

Sounds like over here. It can take you twenty minutes (on a good day) to go the two miles through town. Median home prices are over $1M.

It will be interesting to see. It's been 3 years since I've been back. Pandemic cancelled my last trip. I hate flying as it is, no way I was jumping through hoops to do it. They finally lifted all our restrictions this past month.

That is a really nice area. I've only been through there once when I first moved here and I'll have to check it out again.

It was growing steadily but in the past 3 years it's just exploded here. Wait until you go down Bullard. It was all farm fields and now it's nothing but commercial buildings and Amazon has 4 huge warehouse there alone. They're building another right at the end of the Goodyear airport. Rumor has it they're now going to be flying 200 flights a day into it.

Take a drive up the 303 and check out all the building there too. To the west you'll see houses coming right up the the highway now. Just a couple years ago you could just barley see houses off in the distance. Amazon, UPS and Walmart all have huge warehouses there now on the east side.

We passed by Goodyear on the way to Sedona in I-10, yeah lots of going on , even the freeway they are expanding, noticed some defense companies are building to the east.

Boeing just put a large building on the 303. While all the growth does help with our taxes and property values it's just getting way overcrowded here. I'm sure it's much worse in CA and to some coming from there the traffic here is nothing compared to there and you're laughing at us who complain about it. lol

We found Rudy's Barbecue on the way to SoCal, one of our favorite.

There's the Taiwanese microchip maker that is building the HUGE facility off the 303 near the 17 not far from Lake Pleasant now, too, and there's a TON of land up there that will probably start to get built up pretty soon, too. I hear that's going to be one the next huge areas to explode soon.

About 1957-58 my father was stationed at Williams AFB and we lived on base. At that time the base was way out by itself; the nearest town was Chandler. Now it is all urban. I guess it is pretty much the same everywhere. The town I live in now had 19,000 residents when I moved here but now the population is 135,000 +.

There's a community up near there off Happy Valley Rd in Peoria called Vistancia. I did a few houses up there about 7 years ago and there wasn't much around. Now it's unrecognizable it's grown so much. As long as there's open desert they'll keep building on it which is sad because it's ruining the area and the desert landscape.
