Picked up an air filter and installed it today. I called around to my local Ford dealers and none had an OEM filter. o_O They said they have some aftermarket ones there (which I never heard of) for $30.00. So I went to Autozone and picked up an STP filter for $20.00. The old one wasn't bad but with the trip we're taking and all the dust here I change them out every 10,000 miles.

In case anyone needs the part number:

i had the same problem in my area when i went to the parts stores for filters. i ended up a wally world with one choice for the 4g ranger, a fram... pretty much worse filter ever and it was ten bucks.

Thank you sir, I’m gonna need it
You're welcome! Thanks to alan @alcohenusa who posted a reminder to follow up with this video if a hood latch adjustment is needed after the AVS II install. I also used this video to adjust my hood latch afterwards but needed to do some tweaking to remove the (shroud) panel over the hood latch probably due to the grill on my 2020 having a somewhat different configuration than the 2019... How to adjust the hood latch on a 2020 Ranger? | 2019+ Ford Ranger and Raptor Forum (5th Generation) - Ranger5G.com

It was either run a dirty filter or this one so I guess it's the only choice right now. ?‍♂

Probably pure snake oil.

Installed an AFE power scoop to go along with my Velossa Tech Big Mouth Scoop.

I'm keeping the stock box so I can run a factory filter while on offroad trips.

I have just a K&N drop in there now.
