Thanks AzScorpian.
My wife is already been giving me the dirty looks when I say -“ I really should get one of these (fill in blank)”. ?
You might wanna find a friend close by or a neighbor to have your packages delivered to. Even if you think you're done, you aren't. lol Then you can add them to your Ranger and she'll think it came that way. ?

Used to do that when I was building guitars and building guitar effects pedals. That was easier to make it look like i always had them cause those those parts weren't so noticeable?

Hey guys. TN guy here. Been looking at a Ranger for a few weeks. Actually started off looking at a Maverick, didn't want to spend a lot of $$ but those are sort of like finding the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Found one but it was a hybrid and the non hybrids I found were priced too high I thought.

The more I looked at the interior of the Maverick online and finally saw one in person in a parking lot. I slowly decided I'd move up to a Ranger. It looks a little more comfy and better to me.

Been looking at the local dealers online in about 80mile radius and couldn't find what I was looking for until last night and the local dealer had one in that said it was in stock in the color I wanted, shot off the email form but found out today it's actually in transit. Was told no one had a hold on it and I could put $500 and they'd flag it in the system so that other dealership couldn't request it off their lot or someone come in and buy it. Dropped the payment off and It's supposed to be in at the end of the month for me to test drive and purchase.

The specs are XLT CARBONIZED GRAY. 301A Group, has the black appearance package, running boards, spray in bed liner and trailer tow package. Glad the leather steering wheel is in the package also

Plan to get the windows tinted. Then some smaller mods like mud flaps, at least on the rear to try and keep rocks from flying into someone behind me, debating on a AVS hood protector and in channel window vents.

Plan to get a bed cover also. I may get the Ford one but plan to read more here and see what most people are going with.

I think my only main big gripe at the moment is that the headlights are halogen.. LED should imo be standard on the XLT and up. Save the halogen for the XL. I know there's a lot of back and forth on LED bulbs in the housing, thought about saying screw it. I'm buying some bulbs but think I'll spend the $$ and buy some aftermarket LED lamp assembly down the line.

Wish it had the Auto Start/Stop delete. I don't get the point. Guess I'll push the button or do the night light hack

Excited and waiting at this point. Hope it comes in at the end of the month like their system is showing or sooner.

Hello everybody, glad to be a member of the forum. I actually have a 2 door Bronco Wildtrak on order, but that's going as well as anybody can imagine, in other words not so much. The wife and I were getting a little impatient waiting for a build date and VIN, so we decided to check out what was available in our area not expecting much and perhaps even giving some motivation to continue waiting. Somehow the Mrs. found our new (to us, it is used with just over 4k miles) baby, with the Tremor package to boot. Yep, she's a keeper! I'm looking forward to the many adventures to come, we're definitely loving the heck out of it so far in the few days since we drove it home.

Hey everyone. Names Peter from the Vancouver area, Canada. Been lurking a few months on this forum last year before I picked up a 21 crewcab XLT in Oxford white. Was driving an 02F150 for the last 16 years before that - it seemed like a good time to hop into a new truck as the repair costs were more than the truck was worth. I will admit - I did look at some Dodge Rams before this - Glad I didn’t go with that considering the price of gas now! Didn’t really like how any of them drove - especially with the V6.
Really happy with my Ranger - 17k km and not a problem. I of course did the obligatory TG damper. Put on a rebranded Bakflip MX4 (pain in the rear trying to put that in with the drop in liner), centre console tray and an AVS bug deflector. There are a few more accessories to add - hanging out in this forum does not help the bank account that is for sure.
As to my user name - I really couldn’t come up with anything other than NoTacos. So now I am stuck with it. But I always wanted one and then when I test drove one last year. I have to say I wasn’t that impressed. (And seriously rear drum brakes still!). And they never had the basic 4x4. Everything was souped up and a little beyond what I wanted to spend. So a local ford dealership got my money instead. And the 0.99% financing didn’t hurt either. Now they keeping wanting to buy it back and trade me up to a 2022 - which they don’t have in stock!
Hope I can contribute to this forum as much as it has helped me with things so far.

Good Guys and Gals here Peter. A wealth of information here too.
Be careful with the d word around here though. Wars are started lol.
It's almost Verboten lol

MikeyB.

I noticed the the “d” word is quite the trigger word. But I like how my arms have atrophied using one - my arms fit my shirts - although it’s gotten the point it looks more like I have TRex arms. So everyone knows which camp I am in! Unlike with the tailgate from the F150 which didn’t have a “d” mod on it. Looked like Popeye with only one good arm working that tailgate. ?

Hello everyone my name is Rick. I ordered my 22 Scab XLT Carbonized gray, 302a, FX4 on Feb 23. I sold my 2015 Taurus with 18,000 miles in order to buy the Ranger. I am driving my 06 Ranger XLT Scab till the new one comes in. I do know one thing, I can get into a lot of trouble being on this site with all the stuff that can be done to these new Rangers.

Welcome Rick! Oh you'd best just delete your account now or you're in trouble. lol You'll find all sorts of stuff you never knew you needed. Heck 3 years later and I still have stuff showing up at my door. ?

Guess I'll do some reading/research until then.
Hi Dave,

Your key reading is on how to secure your wallet in the closed and locked position...
Welcome and I hope this Ranger delivers to you as it has a heritage of being Ford Tough.

Best,
Phil
