Good morning folks. Name is Alf and I’m from Manitoba Canada. Downsized from a 14 F-150 to this 21 Ranger on Friday. I’ll admit I was quite impressed with the new generation of the Ranger vs the last time I was in one in the 90’s.

Hi everyone, just joined the forum. Ordered a 2022 Ranger XLT FX4 in February. Patiently waiting for delivery, but was told to expect a 6 to 9 month wait.
Welcome, Kevin! Hopefully, it won’t be that long, but could be.:frown:

Hi everyone,
Name is Brett, been lurking for a while & finally joined. Im from lower NY and recently traded in my 2019 Ram Rebel for a 2021 Ranger, Lariat FX4.
I Cant believe how far these trucks have come since I was a kid. I used to work at a dealer back in high school at this thing would likely blow away the f-150 of the time...

Hi everyone!

New to this forum and Rangers... and trucks. My husband has had multiple tacos in the past, which is the direction I *thought* I wanted to go (this is my first automatic transmission too, but that's another thread). The 10-spd transmission, towing capacity, mpg, and of course nice lines made me decide on a Ranger. I'm 'upgrading' from a Subaru Crosstrek to the Ranger as my daily driver.

So far we've been wowed by the Ranger and we're super happy! 3 days in and counting while on a cross-country trip to bring it home.

You all appear a welcoming community, so thank you in advance for being a resource; I already have a ton of questions!

Hey everyone,
I guess it's time I finally join instead of just lurking haha. I've been scouring the forum for about a year trying to decide if a Ranger was the right midsize truck for me and it fit everything I needed better than its competition. Bought a 2021 Ranger FX4 in November, already have a few small things done, but with planning a wedding the mods will most likely slow down until later in 2022. I still hope to be decently active on here and continue learning more about these trucks. Also FWIW, take-off FX4 suspension and Sport trim wheels/tires with less than 2000 miles are just sitting in my garage.

Hi PT,

Welcome to the Ranger and to the 5G forums....Ask away on any question you have and someone will be able to answer, hopefully... Your Ranger has a heritage of being Ford Tough with previous models and I hope you will find the 5G Ranger continues that heritage.

Best,
Phil

Hi everybody.
New to the forum. Looking forward to all the discussion about Rangers.

I ordered a 2022 Velocity Blue XL STX 2WD SuperCab on 11/18/2021.
It finally went to 'in production' status on 4/5/2022 (1 week ago).

Guess I still have a while to wait for it to actually show up .

Anyway... Guess I'll do some reading/research until then.

Welcome Dave! There's a ton of info on here and it's best to use the Google tab in the search bar, you'll get better results with it. One warning.....The more you read the more money you'll spend and you'll have a garage full of stuff before your Ranger even arrives. ?

Hey everyone. Names Peter from the Vancouver area, Canada. Been lurking a few months on this forum last year before I picked up a 21 crewcab XLT in Oxford white. Was driving an 02F150 for the last 16 years before that - it seemed like a good time to hop into a new truck as the repair costs were more than the truck was worth. I will admit - I did look at some Dodge Rams before this - Glad I didn’t go with that considering the price of gas now! Didn’t really like how any of them drove - especially with the V6.
Really happy with my Ranger - 17k km and not a problem. I of course did the obligatory TG damper. Put on a rebranded Bakflip MX4 (pain in the rear trying to put that in with the drop in liner), centre console tray and an AVS bug deflector. There are a few more accessories to add - hanging out in this forum does not help the bank account that is for sure.
As to my user name - I really couldn’t come up with anything other than NoTacos. So now I am stuck with it. But I always wanted one and then when I test drove one last year. I have to say I wasn’t that impressed. (And seriously rear drum brakes still!). And they never had the basic 4x4. Everything was souped up and a little beyond what I wanted to spend. So a local ford dealership got my money instead. And the 0.99% financing didn’t hurt either. Now they keeping wanting to buy it back and trade me up to a 2022 - which they don’t have in stock!
Hope I can contribute to this forum as much as it has helped me with things so far.

Welcome Peter! Great screen name and if you want to change it later you can message the Admin and he'll be able to do it. There's a lot here that came from a 3rd Gen Taco so we know exactly what you mean when you test drove one. There's a lot of info on here and many willing to help answer your questions and spend your money. lol
