Just finished installing my new cat back from MBRP. Now I have the factory muffler and resonator and a bunch of pipes sitting in a little pile and it just occurred to me I need to now get rid of this stuff.

What have you guys done with your factory pipes and muffler after a home install?

I would hang on to it for a while and make sure you're happy with the new exhaust and there are no issues with it. Then, I would take the old stuff down to a metal recycling place and get paid. Please do not just toss it in a dumpster.

I would hang on to it. I made the mistake of letting the shop that put a cat back magnaflow on my F150 keep it. When l traded my F150 on my Ranger they dinged me $1000 on my trade in to replace the exhaust.

Hi David,

Find a Taco owner and shove it up his A$$ and see how far you get..., then cut off the part sticking out...might not be much as Taco owners have big A$$...Throw the remainder away...

Best,
Phil

1-sell it for scrap
2-give it away
3-sell if for next to nothing to 5G members
4-hold on to it for 5 years and sell them at MRRP to 5G owners up north ...$$$$$

You could just get creative and decorate your garage

If you have space, keep it. Due to lessons in life, I learnt to keep all OEM parts.
You just never know, then again with this attitude, I seemed to have collected... stuff.

I’m willing to buy a factory exhaust and hang onto it if someone in or near Jersey has one to sell relatively cheaply cuz nothing you buy that’s quiet is gonna fit and hold up quite like factory exhaust imo (yeah it’ll still rot out eventually) but it’s far better than piecing and patching one together

Phil. Did someone highjack your identity? But it is still funny.

Makes me think of these kids with their little rice burners and the big "fart can" pipes hanging out the back.
