Fun to have a new truck. Did you make money on this one? If you finance, you just added a year to the loan. What you owe vs what they gave you is one thing. What you pod over the year of ownership is another. I sound like a downer though. Obviously the financing worked for you and you are into a newer model AND the colour you want. Time to rack up the miles on the trade-in.

They gave me more than what I owed on it, and I financed it for a shorter time than I did originally, and I’ve had the 2021 for less than a year. So it feels like my truck just changed color and got younger… lol.

Did you get anything extra on your order besides the Tremor package? (like tow package, bed liner, power rear window, etc?)

they told me I would have a shorter weight if I just stuck with the Tremor off road package and didn’t put anything additional on it. I had them remove the tow package

Tremor, 501A, and trailer tow packages. Rangers do not have a power rear window. The spray in bed liner, was a big hold-up...dunno if they have that issue fixed yet (paint wasn't "scuffed up" enough for the liner to stick).

Tremor, 501A, and trailer tow packages. Rangers do not have a power rear window. The spray in bed liner, was a big hold-up...dunno if they have that issue fixed yet (paint wasn't "scuffed up" enough for the liner to stick).

I’m going to get the spray in bedliner here locally like I did the truck I have now. And I don’t really have anything else on there in any particular. So I’ve got my fingers crossed.

None of those things are a hold up right now. I ordered in September and it was just delivered to dealer this week.

I got the cactus grey color. I’ve always liked it and wanted to begin with. I think that gray color will look great with the red Tremor emblem and the red inserts on the grill.

That’s one sexy a** color. If not for my white and black mix (my favorite) I’d love that single color too

Congrats, glad it worked out for you.
Reminds of how I got my 2002 Ranger. I used to own a small company and leased my vehicles through the business.
My first Ranger was a 1999 SCab 4x4 XLT that I special-ordered to keep the price down, I wanted to get around in snow and be good on gas since I was making frequent trips up north. 3.0, 5-speed stick, tilt & cruise, limited-slip rear, that was it. Crank windows, manual mirrors, nothing else. Two months before the lease was up someone ran a stop sign and T-boned me in the driver's side. Took it to the dealer's body shop and I stopped in a week or so later to check on progress. Sign out front says $3000 Rebate On Rangers. Oh really? Talked to my salesman and with the rebate thrown on as a down payment I went home that day in a new 2002 Off-Road, 4.0, auto, literally every option you could get except the 6 disc CD player, for $10 more a month.

Every week I get an e-mail from my dealer offering to buy back my STX SE for sticker plus $1500k. Their reasoning - I can upgrade and get into the truck I want. Jokes on them, this IS the truck I want.

I know they’re trimming down on shit to make up money, of stuff that they took off, I wasn’t expecting that to be taken off… Dammit.

I wish people would quit saying that manufacturers are removing items to save money when in reality its a supply chain issue. With todays market in new vehicles, manufactures are not loosing money. Would you rather the vehicle sit in a lot for 3 months waiting for a $30 nonessential part?

Thanks bud. While standing there in the lot, looking at the Bronco the man asked me “how my new truck was,” I told him… “ I absolutely love it, but if I could ever change anything it would be the color because I don’t like upkeep of the black paint.” he said, “ let’s put you in a Tremor in the color that you like”.
I got more than what I owed, less time financed than previously, a lower payment, and a lower APR. ?
