Recently bought 2019 Ranger XLT and was looking to upgrade my stock tires. Currently I’m running on 255/65 R17. Looking to go a little bigger without putting a leveling/lift kit on it. Wondering what size I can get away with. Also don’t have the FX4 package, not sure if that matters.
I know there is a lot of posts dedicated to this but just trying to get any info on my exact situation. Appreciate any feedback!

pretty much all the five g rangers with 4x4 can run apporx a 32 inch tire stock no issues. 265 70 17 on my truck and put them on while it was 100 % stock. no issues at all and i test it lol.

Sorry. Couldn't resist. Are you planning mostly highway, off road, mix? Makes a difference on what to get.

Mostly city and highway driving. But I’m new to truck world so look to do some off roading in the future.

If thays the case my personal preference and recommendation would be the Firestone Destination AT2. It is a light duty all terrain tire that is also severe snow rated(helpful for them pesky winter storms). A good idea if you want to experiment with OffRoad a little

I agree with a light duty all terrain tire.

I have the same question but with 18's, seems like way less options with the 18's. I had the Kenda klevers on my jeep, would love something similar on the ranger, a little bigger and much more tread, not finding a lot of options.

For you the equivalent size would be 265/65-18

watch tire weight. Avoid LT tires unless you like buying gas. I went with Nitto 265/70/17's an they look good, ride well an handle rain an snow fine. I lost about 1 mpg. They are 6 pounds per tire heavier. I watched weight closely when looking at tires to avoid a bigger mpg hit.

Managed to head over to Canada Custom AutoWorks this weekend and order up a set of new Rims, Tires, and 3.5" lift.

Overall a great experience and I'd highly recommend them for those of you who are living in Canada.

Went with a set of Armed Offroad Infantry's in an 18x9 with a +12 offset. Wrapped in a set of 33x12.50 R18 Venom Power Terra Hunter R/T tires.

Topping it all off with a 3.5" Rough Country Lift Kit w/ rear shocks.

Overall I love the look of the rubber, they remind me of the Nitto Rodge Grapplers without the hefty $430 a tire for 33's ?

The rims look amazing, and I didn't want to end up going with a 20" rim, I like the more rubber, less rim look, not highway princess style.

Waiting until this weekend to grab the mounted rims & tires, and install the lift myself, hoping the 12 ply tire will stiffen up the ride over the 6 ply (2 ply sidewall) tires on it now.

Will be posting up some pictures with the rubber on the rim, and everything completed.

if I lived in your area I would want something that was ready for the snow and winter weather. I use the bfg ko2 but, idk how they are for snow etc. winter is mild here. mostly slush and ice. so me recommending a tire for your area would be like me talking you into a airplane and not being a pilot lol.
