Look where your adaptor harness is plugged into the oem wires. Your oem side most likely has a couple of wires that the adaptor side does not. My guess anyway.
I’ll double check. I wonder where to but the right size pins to add to aftermarket harness if that’s the problem

I did add amp. Did you have any problems like I am? I’m concerned that running new wire from front door woofer to tweeter may have caused this. I can’t remember if Siri played on all speakers or just front tweeter
I've never used siri before so I just tested it on mine and its very faint, I can barely hear it.

I'm using the rear channels of the factory head unit and thats probably why. I did that because I thought it had fuller sound, sometimes the fronts are on high pass filter from factory.

Ill do some further testing later today with the front channels.

thanks ill look at that but the kit I was talking about was from kicker also included 4 speakers, an inline amp for them that fit under the dash by drivers side and a small sub that fit under the rear seat with all needed parts connecters and harnesses that needed no cutting or splicing. it was a good kit that made that one sound a lot better - wish there was something like that for the rangers -- those from stage 3 actually look like the same ones from the kit I was talking about. any idea how they sound with just the stock HU?

When you move the fader to the front on your factory unit do you still have sound in general?

I disconnected negative battery terminal for 2 days while I installed this. Since install I have lost audio assistance, my driver side window works fine but the auto button feature doesn’t work I have to hold button down till it reaches bottom. I tried to make hands free phone call yesterday and no sound whatsoever from me or person I called, no ring

I think your using the rear channels like I was. Same symptoms.

Yeah the auto window does that even when you disconnect switch. I've had the door panel off many times and it happens every-time. It will eventually return. I don't think i tried disconnecting the battery to get it back, that might reset the module.

Ok well I’ll definitely check and see. I ordered a after market harness adapter from Amazon, I’m positive I hooked up what the had labeled as front left and right. I’ll pull radio tonight and see what’s up. Thanks for your help. I hope that’s my problem cause that’s an easy fix.

Somehow I got front and back wires mixed up and now Siri and voice assistant work!

Curious if there really are any drop in speakers that would truly be an upgrade.
Are the factory speakers 2 ohm?Which would make the best replacements also a 2 ohm speaker.
