Were you ever able to make an STL file? If so, are you able to provide a link?I'm in Canada, so it is likely better for you to get them printed locally. When I'm done I'll upload the model files somewhere and post a link and you can get them printed. I should have it done in a few days.
I just pulled mine off this weekend...it looks so much better now and no more scraping my leg on the steps. The Shrockwork sliders are the ones I've been eyeballing as a replacement but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Looks like a pretty easy install. I was going to get the treadplate but it seems like that could suck for winter snow/ice buildup.I just swapped mine out today for Shrockwork sliders. They are pretty flimsy and lightweight (surprisingly so) so I would not count on them to handle much abuse.
Yep very easy install. It does add a fair amount of weight and to be honest I kind of preferred the look with nothing installed but since I had already bought the sliders I installed them. I did add the tread plate. Didn’t think about ice buildup. Guess I will see?I just pulled mine off this weekend...it looks so much better now and no more scraping my leg on the steps. Eh, it's probably just me overthinking it, I'd still probably get it.Yep very easy install. Sold! Let me know when you have them.I forgot to mention, there isn't just a round hole the size of the bolt in the top of the tube. It's a rectangular hole for each bolt, about 35mm by 43mm. So it looks weird. I'm in the process of designing and 3d printing a plug to go in the holes.
I used grip tape. It's held fine for the month I've had the truck.Anyone think of a good way to fill the holes yet? Got the grip tape but figure it’ll sink it.
thinking maybe some spray foam or something
Spray expanding foam with grip tape was going to be my plan but my wife and kids have a hard time getting into the truck without them. Boys are 6yo. So I guess I will just have to lift it enough to justify the steps lolAnyone think of a good way to fill the holes yet? Got the grip tape but figure it’ll sink it.
