I don't know if anyone else has this problem but in daylight I just cannot see exactly where a few of the buttons to control the heat temperature and fan speed buttons are, especially with sunglasses on. So I wanted to find a fix for it and tried adding small rubber stick-on bumper pads to each switch. For me this works. I can easily feel each pad and allows me to make adjustments without taking my eyes off the road. We'll see how long they hold and if they fall off I'll find some way to keep them in place. I got them off Amazon.

I like this idea. If only they were small like a braille sign...
Maybe a small dab of epoxy on each would be enough to feel in the dark. Just not too much where it would run off.

Don't know what other makers do this but on the Saabs I owned the climate control pads had little nubs so you could make no look adjustments - I hadn't realized that until someone on a Saab forum mentioned it, but for the Ranger it would be a nice addition as with sun glasses on it is really hard to see those controls.

My old Subaru had some of those as well on some of the controls, I think the dash buttons behind the steering wheel had some as well for fog lights and stuff like that.

The controls are probably the only thing that really bugs me about the interior, maybe the lack of rear seat folding options....

Big complaint for me is those controls. They stink and are hard to see. My wife’s baby Bronco has controls similar to the f150 with nice lighted knobs that are easy to see and hopeful it will be fixed with the next gen Ranger .

I used aluminum pin striping on the 3 switches, so at a glance I can see them, I may try to do a proper vinyl transfer that would completely outline the switches, I even thought if I could wire the switches so they were lit all the time, but that wont be enough in daylight.
I would do a glow in the dark highly reflective tape on the next version, I thought I could just buy the HVAC bezel as a template and have a vinyl transfer made, Ha, joke is on me, only available as a complete assy with switches, $800, ouch, I'll have to just trace mine.
Anybody notice anything missing in the picture? (another one of my gripes)

That stupid left 12v outlet just gets in the way and the lid is constantly flipped up.

I like your solution, and the previous suggestion on epoxy. I have lots of UV epoxy, colors even. Hmm.
